Considerations for Electrical room layout - AWRS MCC Room

1) Ash pond area ash water recovery facilities locations have been considered in line with Tender
GLP.
2) AWRS MCC dimensions are estimated using the AHP offer load list and past project vendor
drawing.
3) AWRS transformers are considered as oil type and dimensions are referred from past project
vendor drawing, according to the estimated transformer rating.
4) As per “1.0/1.6/2.0 MVA Transformer (Outdoor), Dwg. No. 0000-000-POE-FB-002” of Technical
Specification Section – VI, Part-B, Sub-Section-B-03 Auxiliary Outdoor Transformers, Clause No.
6.00.00, transformer fire wall is not considered for this 1MVA transformers.
5) As per Clause no. 3.05.00 of Technical Specification Section – VI, Part-B, Sub Section- B-01
General Electrical Specification, Cable connection is considered for Transformer to MCC
connection.
6) As per Clause no. 2.01.08 of Technical Specification Section – VI, Part-B, Sub Section- B-06,
Cabling, Earthing & Lightning Protection, Cable trench is considered for cable laying at this
offsite building (Including Control room of this building).
7) Main lighting distribution board with transformer, Welding distribution board with transformer,
Lighting panel and 110V DC distribution board are indicated as per past project data.
8) 110V and 24V Batteries are indicated as per past project reference.
9) As per Clause no. 2.00.01 (C, Note-3) of Technical Specification Section – VI, Part-A, APPENDIX - I
to Sub-Section-IIC, 3. Contract Quantities Other Than DDCMIS, Batteries for UPS are considered
as part of online UPS panels in control room. Hence same is not indicated in Battery room.
10) As per Clause no. 1.01.04 (6) of Technical Specification Section – VI, Part-B, Sub Section-A-07
Layout requirement, above ground cable trays entry is indicated in MCC room.
11) As per Clause no. 1.01.04 (5) of Technical Specification Section – VI, Part-B, Sub Section-A-07
Layout requirement, 1 No. of 3M x 3M rolling shutter is provided in MCC room.
12) Control room location and door arrangement is revised to optimize building arrangement and
door quantity.
