Heat Agumentation of Parallel Flow Heat Exchanger by Using Natutral Fluids

This document discusses experimenting with using natural fluids like aloe vera juice in a parallel flow heat exchanger to improve performance. The authors prepared an experimental setup using aloe vera juice as the cold fluid and water as the hot fluid in a parallel flow heat exchanger. They tested various mass flow rates and temperature differences, calculating effectiveness. Their results showed effectiveness increased from 0.2 for just water to 0.26 and 0.32 when using mixtures of aloe vera juice and water as the cold fluid. The authors conclude that using natural fluids like aloe vera can enhance heat transfer and lower the cost of parallel flow heat exchangers.

HEAT AGUMENTATION OF PARALLEL FLOW HEAT

EXCHANGER BY USING NATUTRAL FLUIDS

ABSTRACT
Heat exchanger is energy exchange equipment it transfers the heat from one working medium to
another working medium, with maximum rate and minimum investment. It has been wildly used aerospace and
so many other fields. In present experimental work, we used natural fluid as cold fluid in parallel flow heat
exchanger. And Experimental Set Up is also prepared as per requirement. Aloe vera is used as cold fluid and
water is used as hot fluid. Tested the heat exchanger in parallel flow configuration. Observations are noted down
for mass flow rate and temperature difference of hot fluid and cold fluid. On the basis of observations, calculated
the LMTD, overall heat transfer coefficient and effectiveness for parallel flow configuration. Also plotted the
graph for the same and concluded the work.
