Learning Competency and Objective
At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:
1. Explain the spreadsheet environment
2. Differentiate the different functions and formulas used in spreadsheet
3. Solve the problems using the functions and formulas used in spreadsheet.
ELICIT (5 minutes) Materials

1. Arrange the jumbled letters to form a word. Powerpoint presentation


Smart TV

a. In your own idea, what is spreadsheet?


2. Guess the name of the spreadsheet based on the
shown picture in Picture Reveal.ppt and say
something about it.

ENGAGE (2 minutes)

1. Show students the problem to be solved manually in Powerpoint presentation


just 10 minutes. Can you do it? Why? What will you Smart TV
recommend?

EXPLORE (5 minutes)

1. Microsoft Excel Environment Powerpoint presentation


Do the activity entitled “BLAST IT!” by group. The Smart TV
group will answer the questions that will be flashed Tarpapel
on screen. The first group to answer correct will get
1 point. Then the teacher will highlight the parts on
the tarpapel.

EXPLAIN (30 minutes)


1. Let the representative of each group present their Output
output/observation.
2. Answers in the questions in the activity.
ELABORATE (20 minutes)
1. The teacher will process the data from the activity to Power point presentation/
link the given activity about the topic electrical animation/ videos
connection.

2. The teacher will emphasize important concept


related to electrical connection such as:

a. Series connection
b. Parallel connection
c. Difference between series and parallel

3. The students generalize the concept using Venn


diagram.

EVALUATE (10 MINUTES)


1. Look at the connections of wirings in your house. Pen and Paper
Which are connected in series?
2. Which are connected in parallel?

EXTEND (10 minutes)


Do this activity about: “MY HOME MY CONNECTION”. Pen, paper, oslo, coloring
materials
Note: The teachers instruct the students to make a
creative drawing/illustration of electrical connection at
home. Let the students identify the type of connection.
