Game Mechanics

I. Bridge Build

To tap into your team’s creativity and communication skills, try bridge build.

1. Divide into two different teams. Each must build half of a bridge with the materials provided.
The goal is for the two bridges to have similar or identical design and be able to fit together
when finished. The challenge is that the teams must be separated so that they can’t see the
other team or what they are building. But they are allowed to communicate verbally (e.g.
through Slack).
2. You can give them anything as building materials including: dry noodles & marshmallows,
straws, Legos, popsicle sticks or Jenga blocks. Depending on what you use, you My want to also
supply them with tape, paper and pens

II. Paper Cup Pyramid Relay


1. All participants are line up next to each other beside them is a table with 10 paper cups
(stacked). There must be a chair a few meters away from the start of the line.
2. They will run to the chair with a cup (or 2) above their head--it must not fall and make a turn
back to the starting line and place their cup on the table forming a pyramid. They must keep on
putting their cup above their head and take turns until they finish building a pyramid on the
table.
3. The player with fastest time in forming a pyramid wins the game.

III. Tallest Tower


1. Each player shall be given materials that can be used for building a tower.
2. The participants will be given 5 minutes to build their own tower using only the materials
provided by the facilitator.
3. The group/player with the tallest tower shall be declared the winner of the game.

Materials:

1. Paper cup
2. Popsicle
3. Newspaper
4. Scotch tapes/masking tapes
5. Pencil/pens
