Inverse Laplace Transforms
Inverse Laplace Transforms
We are going to be given a transform, F(s) and ask what function (or
functions) did we have originally. As you will see this can be a more
complicated and lengthy process than taking transforms. In these cases we
say that we are finding the Inverse Laplace Transform of F(s) and use
the following notation.

Partial Fractions
When using the Laplace transform with differential equations,
we often get transforms that can be converted via ‘partial
fractions’ to forms that are easily inverse transformed using the
tables and linearity, as above.

Solution of Ordinary Differential Equations by
Laplace Transform:
The Laplace Transform can greatly simplify the solution of problems
involving differential equations by taking the Laplace Transform of the
differential equation using the derivative property (and, perhaps, others)
as necessary.
