Subject: Joining of teachers after vacation - reg.

Sir,

With reference to your letter No.F.31334/KVS/RO/Ekn/2020-21 dated 25.05.2020 wherein


clarification regarding reporting of staff members after vacation, engaging teachers on Contractual Basis
and conduct of supplementary examination had been sought. In this connection it is informed that :-

1. Order of Government of India/State Government may be complied with regarding re-


opening of schools and attendance of teachers and staff. As per MHA office memorandum
dated. 18.05.2020, 50% employees shall attend office on alternate days for this purpose
Principals/Officers may draw a roster till further orders. Other instructions such as social
distancing, wearing of mask and other safety measures as prescribed by the Government are
to be adhered to.
2. Online classes for students may start after vacation. Duration of class and number of classes
to be taken by the teacher may be regulated as per instruction given during video conference
dated. 20.04.2020
3. Decision regarding engaging services o<{ contractual teachers may be taken on case to case
basis as per actual requirement with due· permission of Deputy Commissioner of the region.
Further, as academic transaction is online hence efforts may be made to avail the services of
regular teachers of neighbouring schools.
4. The supplementary examination for Ernakulam Region may be conducted as per feasibility
and directions regarding permission of movement of students by the concerned State,
following all safety norms and instructions issued by the Government.
