After reviewing materials on SOL Lesson 6.12 (Ratio Tables and

Unit Rates) regarding ratio tables, multiplicative relationships,
equivalent ratios, and proportional relationships from the
previous online session. Students will have a better
understanding of the next lesson regarding graphing points
and further explore how to find the slope of a line.

The teacher will begin teaching the ratio of y to x being defined

as the slope. Google Meets will allow teacher to show
examples from worksheets pages 1-3. Worksheet pages will be
available on Google Classroom under Mr. Josshua’s Lesson 10
tab for printing or following along during the session. Mr.
Josshua will go over Activity worksheet #1 with the students,
then transition to a graphing simulation to allow students to
visually see how to graph and find the slope of a line.

The online class will visually see how to graph a line using PhET
Interactive simulations on graphing lines. The simulation will
have three separate graphs on how to find slope, slope-
intercept, and point slope. Formulas are available in each
section to assist the students in comprehending the lesson.
Students will be able to insert numbers from -10 to 10 on the x
and y axis.

Finally, the class will play a Line Game separately and will
screen shot their individual results to the teacher by the
Wednesday at 1159 pm, the game has a star rating from 1 to 6.
This will allow teacher to visually see which area the student
will need assistance or if another supplemental lesson is
needed for the class.

After the simulation lesson is concluded, the teacher will stay

online for 15 minutes to answer questions or address any
concerns regarding this lesson.

Activity worksheet 2 and 3 will be reviewed during next class,

students will be required to complete before class on
Wednesday.
