77 Scholarships for excellent international
students who wish to study a Bachelor or Master
Degree at the University of Jaén (Spain)
Scholarship description
Modality A
52 scholarships for Bachelor studies1
• 100% of the tuition fees for the whole Bachelor’s degree².
• A grant of €2,200 (USD 2,400 approx.) per year and candidate.
• Health insurance (sickness/hospitalization), repatriation, accidents and third party liability during
the period of the scholarship.
• Free Spanish courses for non-Spanish speaking students.

Students should have a minimum GPA of 7 out of a scale of 10

Modality B
25 scholarships for Master studies1

• 100% of the tuition fees for the whole Master’s degree³.


• A grant of €3,000 (USD 3,200 approx.) per year and candidate.
• Health insurance (sickness/hospitalization), repatriation, accidents and third party liability during
the period of the scholarship.
• Free Spanish courses for non-Spanish speaking students.

Students should have a minimum GPA of 7 out of a scale of 10

43 scholarships (35 in modality A and 8 in modality B) are reserved for students selected under the terms of the
agreements with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Russia, Poland, Brazil and Tunisia, as well as
with the GRIET University and SRKREC of India and UFRJ of Brazil.

It is renewable for a total of four years of undergraduate study, based on continued satisfactory academic performance
(passing, at least, 90% of the credits enrolled per year will be required).

Master programmes usually take one year of full-time study. For 2 years Master programmes, scholarship renewal
is based on satisfactory academic performance (passing, at least, 90% of the credits enrolled per year will be required).

Getting a scholarship for a BA’s Degree,

How to access to the


University of Jaén?
Direct Admission for:

Foreign students from all over the world pursuing a European High-School Diploma (British, German,
French or other UE High-School) or International High Diploma.

Foreign students coming from European Union educational systems or educational systems from
Andorra, China, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein.

Foreign students with partial studies (at least 30 ECTS of basic materials in the corresponding degree)
in any official Spanish or foreign higher education system.

Foreign students with pre-universitary studies comparable to a Higher Level Technician of


professional teaching4.

Steps for Admission:


1st Complete the online prescription process to a BA’s Degree, according to the regulations of the UJA and the University

2nd Complete the registration process at the University of Jaén, according to the procedure and regulatory deadlines.

Other Admission Processes for:

Foreign students with a High-School Diploma or equivalent from other educational systems than those
numbered above have to obtain the official recognition (homologation) and/or validation to the equivalent
Spanish one through the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports and pass the UJA admission
criteria.

Steps for Admission:


1st If not coming from a EU educational system, pass the UJA admission criteria.
2nd Complete the online prescription process to a BA’s Degree, according to the regulations of the UJA and the University
Unique District of Andalusia.
3rd Complete the registration process at the University of Jaén, according to the procedure and regulatory deadlines.
