Mensuration Chart

This document defines and describes different types of polygons. It discusses concave polygons which have interior angles greater than 180 degrees, convex polygons which have interior angles less than 180 degrees, equilateral polygons where all sides are equal, and equiangular polygons where all interior angles are equal. It also defines regular polygons where all sides and interior angles are equal, and irregular polygons where the sides and interior angles are unequal. The document also provides definitions and properties of quadrilaterals including squares, rectangles, trapezoids, parallelograms, and rhombuses. It gives the formulas to calculate the area and perimeter of these shapes.

Polygon
A polygon is any (closed) 2-dimensional shape formed with straight lines
Types of Polygon

1. Concave polygon 2. Convex polygon 3. Equilateral polygon 4. Equiangular polygon

Atleast one interior angle All interior angles are All sides are equal All interior angles
measures more than 180º less than 180º are equal

5. Regular polygon 6. Irregular polygon 7. Cyclic Polygons

All sides and all interior Neither the sides nor the All the vertices are on
angles are equal interior angles are equal a circle

Area
Area is the amount of 2-dimensional space taken by a closed figure
Perimeter
Perimeter is the total boundary length of 2-dimensional shape
Quadrilateral
A 4-sided closed polygon is called as a Quadrilateral. Different types of
