Kirsten Flowers
Hi, I'm Kirsten Flowers and I am a leadership and
life coach. My passion for leadership and desire to
enhance leadership for the future brought me to
coaching. As a coach, I partner with individuals
teams, and organizations to unlock their potential
and design the future they always wanted. I hope
to grow wholehearted individuals and leaders
through self discovery, authentic partnerships, and
endless possibilities.

I am a trained organizational psychologist with

over 7 years of leadership development, consulting
and organizational effectiveness experience. I
currently work at Evolent Health, enabling
manager and leader success through assessment,
program design, mentoring, and facilitation. I spent
five years with the McChrystal Group, a leadership
and management consulting firm where I
developed and implemented high impact multi-
year leadership programs for Fortune 500
companies.

Originally from Miami, Florida, I earned my

Bachelor of Arts from Elon University and a Master
of Arts from George Washington University. My
husband Darien and I reside in the DC area. I love
traveling, college football, quotes and Dairy Queen
Blizzards.

Kirsten's Coaching Philosophy
My mission is to grow wholehearted individuals and leaders through self discovery,
authentic partnership and endless possibility. I use ontological coaching focusing
on the whole person. I listen more than I talk, I don't give answers or solutions but
rather ask questions to find discovery. I don't present solutions, I empower the
client to look at something differently. The primary goal is to create actionable
strategies to achieve specific goals in one's work or life.

Services Offered

1:1 Coaching: For individuals to establish personal goals or objectives and to discover
what is holding them back. Someone who desires to accelerate results, sees a gap
between where they are and where they want to go. One who lacks clarity for what is
next, their work and life is out of balance, major transition in their life, and wanting to
identify strengths and learn how to use them.

Recommended to have sessions 1x a week for 4 times a month up to 3 months at a

minimum and 6 months. I can also create a customizable plan for clients. Text and
email support in between sessions is included.

Foundation Session: Dive deep into your essence to understand the core of who you
are and the Root of it All.

What is Coaching?
The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as partnering with clients in a
thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal
and professional potential.

What are qualifications for a coach?

A certified coach must meet the ICF Standards. The ICF Credential is the only globally
recognized professional coaching certification. With an ICF Credential, coaches
demonstrate their knowledge, skill, and commitment to high ethical and professional
standards. ICF Credential-holders have fulfilled rigorous education and experience
requirements and demonstrated their commitment to coaching excellence.
Requirements include: Complete coach-specific training that meets ICF’s standards,
achieve a designated number of coaching experience hours, partner with a Mentor
Coach, and demonstrate appropriate understanding and mastery of the ICF definition
of coaching, Code of Ethics and Core Competencies.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Therapy:
Past based, difficulties arriving from past that show up in present behavior, therapist
means an expert emotional functioning clinical diagnosis.
Coaching:
Present and future focused, the primary goal is to create actionable strategies to
achieve specific goals in one's work or life, and a coach is a partner who is accountable
and supportive.

How can leadership coaching support my employees?

Self-awareness, interpersonal skills (listening, empathy etc.), influence, leading during
times of change, working in uncertainty, communication skills, motivation and
engagement, leading with vision and purpose, building effective teams, developing
their team, and shift from individual contributor to manager.

Anywhere and I work with most of my clients virtually through Zoom or phone.
