Website Creation 2

Here are the steps needed to get a website established:

1. Go to weebly.com
a. From here, you will pick a theme and create a name for your webpage link for
others to access it
2. After picking a theme, you will have to clean the page up
a. Delete any images you do not want or text boxes you do not want
b. Move images/buttons/text boxes/page headings around the page to fit the design
you want for each page
c. You will have the option to add anything that interests you located on the left side
of the page under the heading “Build”
i. Title
ii. Text
iii. Image
iv. Gallery
v. Slideshow
vi. Map
vii. Contact form
viii. Newsletter form
ix. Button
x. Embedded code/link
xi. Video
xii. Audio
d. I created a button that has a link to my school homepage on the “Main Page”
i. I inserted a button by dragging and dropping the icon onto the page. I had
to find my school homepage and copy the link. Then I went to my
webpage, hovered over the button, and clicked on “link.” I just had to
paste my school homepage in and it was connected to the button.
e. To insert my picture on the Main Page tab, I dragged the “image” icon to where I
wanted it on the page. Then I found a file on my computer that would fit perfectly
on this page. I inserted that file into the image box
f. I then followed the same steps on the next few pages
3. Add pages and title your pages
a. Located at the top of the page under the heading “Pages,” you have the option to
add pages and subsections for each page you want
b. Here you will edit the names and add however many pages you need
c. I have four pages titled: Main Page, Graphic, Multimedia, and Print
4. Publish your page
a. In the upper right-hand corner, you will press the blue “Publish” button
b. You have the option to copy the link and post where you need it to be, or you can
share it with a few different places: Twitter, Facebook, etc.
