OTA SIM CARD TEST

 Pretest, using official OTA platform (SIM ALLIACE conformance)

Prerequisites:

 5In this test specifically we are using 2 different SIM cards providers for to the test (official
test needs to test 5 SIM cards providers), electric profiles are same version V6.4
 OTA platform

Test

We are using 2 SIM cards providers Mica express & Word Card.

 First test

Events succeeds after receive OTA campaign.

 RX SMS
 Change SIM card EF MSISDN
 Change SIM card EF ADN
 Change SIM card EF Change SPN (alpha tag)
 Change SIM card EF EST (Contact list)
 Change SIM card EF FDN function ON
 Change SIM card EF Java scrip added in STK to shown Text (add Java Applet into STK)

After receive OTA campaign all the SIM card events was OK in both SIM cards. All the EF was
updated without device reboot

 Second test

 Change SIM card EF Change SPN (alpha tag)


 Change SIM card EF FDN function OFF
 Change SIM card EF Java scrip delete in STK (delete Java Applet into STK)

After receive OTA campaign SIM card event to remove Java Applet is correct (Applet is
removed of STK)

In this test we have found some issues


 Change SIM card EF Change SPN (alpha tag)  FAIL
 Change SIM card EF FDN function OFF  FAIL

This SIM EF cannot upload automatically after receive OTA campaign, that means. Device need to
rest to see the changes in UI. If devices is not restarted, this changes are not applied (forcepolling
procedure is not finished)  Expected behavior is EF will updated automatically after receive
Forcepolling procedure

SIM card from provider Mica Express, after OTA campaign displays PopUp in UI with the string
“Red o equipo ocupados”, check and compare both test (Mica express & word card) the video
enclosed in logfile to review when issue succeeded) in word card test does not appears this PopUp
 Expected behavior is not display any PopUp in UI when receive campaign (Transparent mode is
required).

 Third test

This test was made just to confirmation when issue happens, test includes

 RX SMS
 Change SIM card EF MSISDN
 Change SIM card EF ADN
 Change SIM card EF Change SPN (alpha tag)
 Change SIM card EF EST (Contact list)
 Change SIM card EF FDN function ON
 Change SIM card EF Java scrip added in STK to shown Text (add Java Applet into STK)
 Change SIM card EF Change SPN (alpha tag)
 Change SIM card EF FDN function OFF
 Change SIM card EF Java scrip delete in STK (delete Java Applet into STK)

 Forth test

In this test we have found some issues

 SIM card event  SMS push

First issue is string untranslated “Enviando SMS from SIM” need to translate word from to “desde”
and expected string is “Enviando SMS desde SIM” this string appears in both DuTs

Second is, SIM card from provider Mica Express, after OTA campaign displays PopUp in UI with the
string “Red o equipo ocupados”, check and compare both test (Mica express & word card) the
video enclosed in logfile to review when issue succeeded) in word card test does not appears this
PopUp  Expected behavior is not display any PopUp in UI when receive campaign (Transparent
mode is required).

 Fifth test

Events succeeds after receive OTA campaign SIM reset & refresh.

 SIM card event  USIM initialization and full FCN + SIM card EF alpha tag change
 SIM card event  File change notification IMSI + SIM card EF alpha tag change
 SIM card event  USIM initialization and FCN IMSI + SIM card EF alpha tag change
 SIM card event  USIM initialization + SIM card EF alpha tag change
 SIM card event  UICC rest + SIM card EF alpha tag change
 SIM card event  USIM application reset + SIM card EF alpha tag change
 SIM card event  USIM session reset + SIM card EF alpha tag change

In this test we have found some issues

 SIM card event  USIM session reset + SIM card EF alpha tag change
 SIM card event  UICC rest + SIM card EF alpha tag change
 SIM card event  USIM application reset + SIM card EF alpha tag change

Issue happens in both DuTs, EF referred to alpha tag is not changed. Alpha tag value for this case
will be upgrade to 7.5, 7.6, 7.7 and never change after reboot device. Expected behavior is alpha
tag need to change automatically as before test.
