What is different?

• No articles: auto = a car, the car

• No gender: hän = he, she
• Lots of endings and suffixes (instead of prepositions):

auto + ssa in the car puhu + t you speak

auto + ssa + ni in my car puhu + t +ko? do you speak?
auto + i + ssa in (the) cars puhu + i + t you spoke
What is different?

Great number of postpositions and only a few prepositions:

• ystävän kanssa with a friend

• kurssin jälkeen after the course
• Liisan takana behind Liisa
• Jussin edessä in front of Jussi
