INTRODUCTION
Also know as Lake Garden,KL or The Perdana
Botanical Garden.
Oldest park in KL since 1888.
Initially named as Public Garden but then renamed to
Lake Garden. In 28th of June 2011, it officially
renamed as Perdana Botanical Gardens.
The Historical Background of The Park
Creation of Alread Venning (British state treasurer
in late 19th century)
Created as a shelther where the Btitish
administartion could escape from the city.
It was previously a tin mine.
Launched by Tun Haji Abdul Razak Hussien ( 2nd
Prime Minister of Malaysia )

Year 1900 it became Washington Park.
History
Was founded in 1891
Located in Wisconson, Milwaukee
Was originally named West Park
Designed by Frederick Law Olmsted
Landscapes and recreational activities promote both the physical and
mental health of its visitors
West Park became Washington Park in 1900 to reflect the importance of
American history
After that, the park expanded to 132 acres
In 2007, the Urban Ecology Center chose Washington Park for its satellite
facility.
Offer participants the opportunity to explore nature and experience
West park zoo began in 1892
In 1900, both park and zoo was renamed Washington Park
By the 1930s, the zoological garden starts to wear
The Washington Park Zoo fell silent in 1963 as the animals were moved to
the new facility
