pneumonia. The first three (3) cases were recorded in the Philippines in January were all
confirmed travel history in Wuhan China. On March 5 2019, the first case of covid19 with no
travel history and was due to local transmission.
While everyone is at risk to be infected by the virus, the old ones with pre-existing condition
such diabetes, hypertension, heart and respiratory diseases or with compromised immune
system, including young children, people with HIV , as well as the front liners are the most
vulnerable. Wide spread community transmission has the high percentage to occur with the
crowded population among mobile communities, people living in poor densely populated urban
setting and any community with inadequate access to proper hygiene supply and with was
constrained with hygiene and sanitation practices and as well as nutrition services. In this kind
of scenario had overwhelmed the capacity of the government to obtain its due cost in
establishing health care facilities that can cater all possible patients and possible to those
infected by the virus particularly to those areas who has the high numbers of COVID19 and in
the densely populated communities.
According to the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) the pandemic was
having a disruptive impact to the economy and will negatively impact growth well beyond 2020,
movement restriction and the downturn of global economic activity will further limit household
incomes and add to job losses domestically and abroad. This disproportionalized the affected
poor families, especially to those who were dependent on the informal sectors. Aside from
anticipate slowdown of the economy, the COVID19 pandemic is also limiting the people to its
access to health, education, food and nutrition, water and sanitation, information,
communication and transport since the government implemented lockdowns in the central
Luzon and was being followed forth by the local governments. As per the United Nation is
concern this situation further heightening the vulnerability among the poorest of the poor
though no one is exempted during this pandemic. It exacerbate intimate partner violence,
violence against children, neglect as well as other form of violence.
In response in addressing the pandemic travel restrictions and community interventions, the
Philippine government conducted a contact tracing and was so implement travel ban covering
those of places/countries with much numbers of covid19. Philippine government as stated
above has conducted its precautionary measure as to go with the lockdown for developmental
