1 INTRODUCTION
The objective of this document is to summarise necessary data regarding products, packing, reel,
and give an overview of the handling requirements for NOV reel and pipes.
Transportation Vessel for this job TBA.
Load out/delivery will take place from NOV’s facilities at the Harbour of Kalundborg, Denmark.
Delivery terms and arrangements are described in section 3.

3 SCOPE OF SUPPLY
3.1 DELIVERY TERMS
For this project the contractual terms of delivery (Incoterms 2000) is:
FAS: Free Alongside Ship (Kalundborg, Denmark).
The Seller delivers the goods when the goods have been placed reachable for the vessel at the
named port of shipment, and the title to and the risk for the goods has passed to the Purchaser.

5 MARKING OF PIPE
5.1 NOV AXIAL MARKING ON PIPE
Every 10 meters of the pipe is marked at circumferential position 4, 8 and 12 o’clock. The following
text is written in 50 mm black letters:

Each pipe is marked with Fabric Specification no., (3769FS001) and the end fittings are marked

5.2 MARKING OF END FITTINGS
Both end fittings are marked with a water resistant plate attached to the outer casing. The text,
abbreviations and order are - with minor adjustments and additions - in accordance with API 17J
section 11.1.
The end fittings are designated with extension A & B to the serial number.
Details of the end-fitting name plates are included in Appendix A.
5.3 MARKING OF DELIVERY FOR TRANSPORT
A note with the delivery address will be attached to the reel.
A packing list and a delivery address will be attached to each box.
Delivery address will be according to Client information given in section 3.2.
5.4 ADDITIONAL MARKING
The Client and the installation contractor may mark the outer sheath of the pipe with fiber-tip pen,
aerosol spray or paint compatible with MDPE.
Removal of Marking on outer sheath with solvent shall be compatible with MDPE.

5.5 REEL MARKING
The NOV reel is marked with unique Reel Tag numbers. The reel Tag number is painted with white
colour on the flange on each side of the reel.
6 PACKING AND LIFTING DETAILS
6.1 PACKING OF PIPES
Delivered on reels:
The flexible pipes are packed on the reels as per 3769-DWG-PCK-100 General Packing
Arrangement.

End-fitting A is first off the reel [TBC].
The pipes are packed and delivered on a 10.2m reel including end-fittings and Pull heads.
• The end fittings are secured to the side of the reel with steel chains. See NOV standard
rigging in packing drawings.
Note: Soft slings/chains have been used to hold the flexible in place during reeling/packing
but are not designed for sea fastening purposes. Slings and straps shall be removed
carefully during installation.
• The cradle is clipped to the reel.
The flexibles is packed/coiled so that the specified minimum bending radius (MBR), is not violated”.
In order to have both end fittings accessible a ramp of polystyrene foam is assembled on the reels.
NOTE: Additional foam blocks have been used for the packing/protection of the reel. NOV would
highlight that although these blocks are securely fastened, some of these blocks may (although
unlikely) become loose during transportation. When the flexible pipe is spooled from the reel there
is a potential but unlikely risk of falling items. A safety distance is required and no personnel shall
stay underneath the reel or between the reel flanges during spooling.
Drawing of typical lifting arrangement and drawing of Reel dimensions are shown in appendix B.
Ancillary equipment /Deliveries:
Spare parts are delivered in boxes according to Packing Lists document no. 3769-DOC-MNL-400.
Repair kit:
1 set of repair kit will not be loaded out with the deliveries, selected items for the Repair kit will be
transported to Gabon, when the installation period start. Part list for the repair kit is given in packing
list document no. 3769-DOC-MNL-401. The Repair kit shall be returned according to agreement.
(See also section 7).
Spares :
Spare parts are delivered in boxes or pallets according to Packing Lists document no. 3769-DOC-
MNL-400.
6.2 PACKING LISTS
Packing lists are prepared for transport and shipping purpose. They describe all items to be
delivered and delivery form e.g. pipe on reel or items in boxes. See separate document covering
the packing lists 3769-DOC-MNL-400.
6.3 LIFTING OF REEL
Lifting of reel is not part of NOV scope of work.

All lifting of the reel shall be performed in accordance with the drawing in 3769-DWG-LFT-100
(Lifting equipment).
The applied lifting beam with shackles and wires must have a sufficient rating for the applicable
lifting operation. The wires must only be attached to the reel as shown on the drawing. The wire
size shall be suitable for the rim on the reel. The lifting beam must have a sufficient length to avoid
the wires touching the sides of the reel.
During lifting operations, care must be exercised to ensure the safety and protection of all involved
personnel, equipment and the environment.
All lifting operations must be conducted in accordance with company safety procedures and
national regulations and supervised and handled by qualified personnel only.
NOTE: If NOV lifting beam and rigging are used it should be noted that this equipment are property
of NOV Flexibles and is not part of the delivery.
7 HIRING OF NOV EQUIPMENT
Care and custody of NOV’s equipment such as reels, accessories, etc. will be the full responsibility
of the Client from the agreed Delivery Date in Kalundborg and until returned Incoterms 2000 DEQ
Kalundborg.
8 SEA FASTENING ON THE VESSEL
The sea fastening is not a part of NOV scope of work.
9 THE HARBOUR AT NOV IN KALUNDBORG
NOV’s factory in Kalundborg is located at a harbour and has 2 quaysides. A map shoving the
quaysides is given in appendix C.
10 SAFETY AND REGULATIONS, GENERAL
Care must be exercised to ensure the safety and protection of all involved personnel, equipment
and the environment. No part of any operation may be in conflict with the internal NOV safety policy
and procedures as well as the Danish legislation for occupational health and safety.
Any command, request or recommendation from the NOV HSE organization must be immediately
complied with.
All personnel entering NOV location to be checked in via NOV reception or Gate and have
suitable PP equipment (personal protection equipment).
11 HAND-OVER CERTIFICATE
Upon delivery of the goods a representative for the client/ship will be required to sign off the
Packing List (3769-DOC-MNL-400) certifying the take-over of possession of the products.
Subsequently the signed Packing List will become a Handover Certificate.
