BACKGROUND
A. Introduction

TIPAS NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL is located at Brgy.


Tipas San Juan, Batangas with a total population of 1469 learners,
56 teaching personnel, 6 non-teaching personnel, 2 security guards,
1 utility and 8 canteen helpers. The land area of the school is about
____square meters.
To make sure the safety of everyone in the school premises at all times,
the Schools Disaster Risk Reduction Management Organization was
formed. The organizational chart is illustrated below:

CHAPTER II
A. GOALS
The goal of the contingency plan is to provide effective, efficient, timely and well-
coordinated response mechanisms in the event of the occurrence of typhoon in Tipas
National High School. Such mechanisms shall help to protect lives, properties and the
environment, and restore the immediate needs of the people.

B. GENERAL OBJECTIVES
I. OBJECTIVES
“This 2019 Contingency Plan covers 1469 school learners and 62 personnel. It focuses on
geological related hazards (typhoon).” It aims the following:

 Give knowledge and understanding about the precautionary measures before


during and after a typhoon.
 Mitigate the circumstances of geological related hazards specially a typhoon.
 Prepare learners and personnel for any geological related hazards that may occur
 Make a comprehensive plan
 Respond immediately to the damages brought by any geological related hazards
