Memo

The company has experienced instances of cash shortages at the register. To address this, any shortages will now be deducted from all staff working that shift unless someone takes responsibility. If fault is determined, only that person will be deducted. Any overages will be added to a tip box to be split evenly among the staff that day. All staff must help each other to prevent deductions or blame, and failure to comply with conduct standards could result in termination.

MEMORANDUM

TO: All Staff

It has come to the attention of the company that there have been a lot of instances of sales
shortage. As all staffs have been performing cashiering duties, the shortage will be deducted to
all the staffs that are present for that shift. It will be deducted to all of your salary unless
someone will say and give proof as to who is specifically at fault. If a specific person has been
proven to be at fault for the shortage of cash sales, it will only be deducted to that person alone.

For over money on cash sales, it has been decided that it will go into the “tip box” to be divided
equally to all staffs that are present of the day of the said instance.

It is the cashier’s duty to ensure that there will be no cash shortage or over. All staffs must help
each other so that no one will be deducted and no one will blame anyone. With this, the company
do not want any gossips to be going around with regards to this issue.

REMEMBER: The company has a “Standards of Conduct” that is written in the Employee
handbook. Failure to comply will result into disciplinary measure that may result in termination
without a written warning.
Section 21. Standards of Conduct
 All mistakes resulting to a company loss will be charged to you. So, BE CAREFUL!
 Theft or dishonesty of store funds will have disciplinary action.
 Use of foul or abusive language will have disciplinary action.
 Disorderly or indecent conduct will have disciplinary action.
 Actions or threats of violence or abusive language directed toward a customer or another staff member
will have disciplinary action.
