Install Drivers for TVRS and Cable Connecting

a. Turn off PC power

d. Turn on PC, windows prompts found PCI card, driver files is under Drivers folder on CD.
e. Connect phone line to T connector, and one port to telephone or PBX, one port to recording
card

How to Install TVRS software

After connecting recording cards and cables, turn on PC

(1).Run Setup.exe in CD-room

(2).Insert Key-pro, windows prompts new hardware was found, click Search latest driver for
the device.

Uninstall Software
Go desktop “Start” menu， Programes ->Telephone Voice Recording System ->Uninstall Software.

Note: All user database and recording files in folder : MDR、MDR BACKUP、ZDR and VOC wouldn’t be removed.

Quick Software Setup

Click menu Operate->Login, default admin password is 88888.

 System supports 3 recording modes：PHONE(default),AUDIO,KEY。

 System starts to record voice when off-hook a telephone, and stop recording when
hangup.Go Find&Play,you can search and play recorded voice files.
 Go System form ,you can set many options as following illustration:

PBX Trunk Recording Setting

----Work with Call Accounting System, record to all extensions

Run TVRS and CAS

SMDR

1.Go System\PBX Setting, check on Enable PBX Trunk Rec. Mode , and check on Open IP
Channel to Call Accounting Software.

2.Go Call Accounting System\Database File Setting, check on Generates information for

Digital Recorder, and check on Open IP channel to Telephone Voice Recording System.
If TVRS is on other PC in LAN, then input destination IP address.

3.Go System\Channel Setting, find

to TRK, and Line No (phone number
of Trk line),find Trk No. column,
input Trk Number according to PBX.

Note: Suggest PBX TRK line 01

connect to TVRS channel 01, one

Another Setting Method：

1.Go System\PBX Setting, check on Use PBX output info when record EXT and check on
Open IP channel to Call Accounting Software check on Get EXT form PBX Dial Number
2.Go Call Accounting System\Database File Setting, check on Generates information for
Digital Recorder, check on Open IP channel to Telephone Voice Recording System.
If TVRS is on other PC in LAN, then input destination IP address.
3．Go System\Channel Setting, find Type column, click to setup to DIAL, restart TVRS
Note: This setting method needs full kinds of PBX output, includes (incoming bills ,no answer
bills.)

Work with Call Accounting Software

1. Go System\PBX Setting , check on Enable output to Call Accounting Software

And check on Open IP channel to Call Accounting Software
2. Go CAS\System\Database File Setting, check on Open IP channel to Telephone Voice
Recording System.
3. Restart TVRS, now CAS can calculate cost of all lines ,and can output all kinds of cost reports.

Setting for Client Access

1. Share c:\MDR folder with full rights，password is recommended.

2. Share VOC folder, share with read only right.
3. Go to client PC, install Telephone Recording software as same as server, go Network

Neighborhood, find server (with recording card installed),and find MDR folder,make a shortcut
for this Client.exe on desktop
4. Click shortcut of Client.exe on client PC, now you can search and play recording files just like
on server.

Customer Popup Setting

Seat means a PC with IP address in LAN.

1. Go System\Seats, check on Enable IP
Interface, Input all the IP address or PC
Name to seats table, All these
computers would receive customer
information when some call is incoming
with caller id.

2. If incoming caller information from a

specified phone line, only be sent to one
specified seat(PC),go System\Channel
Setting\Specified Seat ID , assign a seat
for handling this channel.。

3 When a new call is incoming with caller

ID ,POPUP can show the callerID number,
Double click the caller ID to add to phone
book ro customer database .

4. If one specified incoming caller id can only

be processed by one seat(PC),then go

THE SETTING OF SELF-ANSWER AND LEAVING WORD FUNCTION

OF ZS-3208 RECORDING CARD

Note: 1 when you start up the function of leaving word, please check the “save missing incoming
call” option in system setting/ advanced setting.
2 incapable of live monitoring

1. Setting

To start up the limitation of ring times

Starting up this option, the function of self-answer will be in operation. The startup is to set
the default value as “0” on the dextral “the most ring times”.
Starting up this option, the function of leaving word will be in operation. The startup is
to set the default value as “0” and the default unit as “S” on the dextral “the longest
leaving word time”.
Note: setting the default value as “0” is to support the longest time of leaving word.

Exiting the instruction of self-answer or leaving word

If it is unnecessary to start up the function of self-answer and leaving word, please
break by inputting a presetted instruction such as #* on the telephone .
the setting of self-answer and leaving word.
to start up the function of self-answer and leaving word, we need to set the sound
as the follows: put the preediting sound file( must be VC2 format) under MDR or other
list, click the dextral option button to enter sound list as the picture.

2. Time Setting

Time setting is to add the period of self-answer and leaving word to the periods of time. By time
setting all the incoming calls can share the function of self-answer and leaving word during these
periods of time.
The software provides 4 periods of time to be chosen.

3. Holidays And Festivals

Choose “setting the holidays and festivals effective” option to make the function of
self-answer and leaving word in effective during the period of holidays and festivals.
Including the setting of period from Monday to Sunday and holidays. If we choose
Saturday and Sunday, the function of self-answer and leaving word will be in effective
during the two days.
And we should fill out the corresponding sound path. For example, we should set
period of the national day with the start date “10-01” and end date “10-07” and the
corresponding sound path is VOCPATH.
Note: the input format of holiday and festival is 2006-01-01, and the format of start
date and end date must be as the picture shows.

4. Setting of channel leaving word

The channel number in the channel must be filled out completely to ensure all
self-answer and leaving word function to be available

Setting leaving state

Starting up this option can set the exterior line in leaving state. We can set this item
when one of exterior lines has nobody answer in a certain time: set “setting leave
state instruction” and “setting come back state instruction” on the right-hand.for
example the picture has set them as ## and ** respectively.
method of usage: when off exterior line of phone, please press ## directly to set
leaving state.
when come back to your seat, please press ## directly again to set working state.

Note: the self-answer and leaving word function can’t be in effetive if channel isn’t
set.
1. when the leaving state has been set, the system will answer the record of
leaving state preferentially.
2. when the leaving state hasn’t been set, the system will answer with the record of
holidays and festivals.
3. when statutory holidays hasn’t been set, the system will answer with the record
file of Monday to Sunday.
4. if Monday to Sunday hasn’t been set, the system will auto-answer with the
setting of time section,

5. How to query
If you want to query the leaving word record, please query in the recording query,
click synthetical query, and pitch on missing call and RECORDMESSAGE. As the
follow picture shows: pitching on missing call and RECORDMESSAGE and
clicking “show result” will show all types of record of leaving words.

Operations of Cool EditPro Audio Tool

ZS-3208 and ZS-3002 recording card Both have Automatic reply \ self-answer and leave
words function. The voice file only support VC2, VOC format which voice file was
recorded by ZS-3208 and ZS-U3002 nowaday. Any other voice file will be edit and

convert to VC2 and VOC to play it by Cool Edit Pro Audio Tool.

Now we use Cool Edit Pro Audio Tool to convert the Voice File, Such as WAV and so on
formats to VC2.

How to edit and convert :

Note: Please purchase the Registered Cool Edit Pro extra or download the Free Cool Edit in the
website.

Step 1: After installing Cool Edit Pro, click “Open” button to open the recorded voice
file, as showed with red circle.

Step 2: Edit the opened file. Click “Edit” of Toolbar, then click “Copy”, as showed.

Step 3: Create a new voice screen, there will be showed a dialog box when create it, as
following showed . Please note that, the “Sample Rate” is 8000, “Channels” is Mono,
and “Resolution” is 8 bits. Click “OK” for next .

Step 4: Click “Edit” of Toolbar, then click “Paste”, as following showed. It can play
and hear the effects.

Step 5: The Voice File has been edited in Step 2, now save it as the TVRS format, Click
“File\Save As”, as showed.

Choose the Save Waveform as “Dialogic ADPCM(*vox)” in the showing dialog box. As
showed.

Change the postfix of the “Voice. vox” to “Voice.vc2”, and save it to the MDR file of the
TVRS. You can transfer this file if you want to use Automatic reply and Message
functions.
