The good qualities of an effective leader are:

1. (Values people) acknowledges the importance of and the contribution of others.

4. (Gives credit) praises others and their contributions publicly.
5. (Admits mistakes) willingly admits errors.

The qualities of None-Leader/Members are:

1. They are invisible they give orders to staff and expect them to be carried out.
2. They make all final decisions themselves.
3. They only trust words and numbers on paper.
4. They are above dog work.
5. They uses committees and consultants.
6. They are uncomfortable to with people.
7. They are elusive: they artful dodgers.
8. They are not tolerant of such disagreement.
9. They are good talkers.
10. They make final decisions themselves.

The characteristics of a principled-center leader according to Stephen Covey are:

1. They are more flexible and spontaneous. They are not chained to plans and schedules.
2. They have richer, more rewarding relationships with other people.
3. They are more energetic. Instead of doing the “their thing” to other, they find far greater
rewards in working with others to achieve shared vision.
4. They are continually learning.
5. They become contribution-focused. They are more service-oriented.
6. They produce extraordinary results. Because the balance “producing” with increasing capacity
to produce, they develop the ability to produce significantly more, long term.
7. They develop a healthy psychological immune system.
8. They create their own limits.
9. They lead more balanced lives.
10. They become more confident and secure.
11. They are better able to walk their talk.
