I. INTRODUCTION
To access the particular user interface associated to your project, you need to type in the http address of
your server. This address has been sent through mail and your shipment, along with the serial number of
all Geocubes and Geoports/Geocoord in your order.
System will then ask for a login and password which, by default, is set as :
Login : kylia
Password : kylia
You then access your personal interface, Geo3 is split over 7 tabs :
Before starting using the Geo3 interface, you should connect your Geoport/Geocoord and your Geocubes
to the system. To do so, refer to the “Geoport User Manual” and the “Geocube User Manual”. Once all
your system is connected and your process is launched, you can explore the functionalities of the Geo3
interface.
1
II. ADMINISTRATION
The first tab which you will arrive on each time you log in is “Geocube network”. For your first visit, you
will probably want to define a few characteristics of how you want your system to work. To do so, click
on the “administration” tab. Geo3 will ask you for the administrator login/password, which is distinct
from the user login/password which ensures only trained operators can actually modify the parameters
of the Geocube system. By default, login/password is set to kylia/kylia.
II.A. PROCESS
You probably have already accessed the “process” tab when installing your cubes. If you want to know
how to use this page, please refer to the Geocube user manual.
II.B. PARAMETERS
This page will allow you to define users, change logins and passwords, define characteristics of specific
projections you need to implement.
There is one user profile, common to all people in your organisation which will access the data, and one
administrator profile, common to all people who should be able to define, interrupt, reboot, upgrade a
process.
To change a login or password for users or for administrators, simply enter the new login details in the
corresponding fields, enter an e-mail address and press “create user”. An e-mail will automatically be
sent to the specified address with the new login and password.
If a user has lost his password, he should address the administrator who can either send him the current
user password or generate a new one.
If an administrator has lost his password and has therefore no way to access the “administration” tab,
please send an e-mail to [email protected]
II.C. ALARMS
At this stage, pre-configured alarms allow you to be warned in case there is a system failure for any of
the following reasons :
2
Simply check the boxes you want to supervise and click on the “set alarms” button. The server will
generate a mail to either the user or the administrator mail address.
Position and displacement alarms are under development and will be available shortly in this same tab.
II.D. REBOOT

II.E. DATABASE
WORK IN PROGRESS
Although there is a large number of information which can be logged, you will find hereafter, a list of
main variables :
MON Voltage V : voltage powering the Geocube (i.e. voltage of the battery, if relevant)
RF RSSI dBm : quality of first radio connection (i.e. if Geocube A data reaches Geoport
through Geocube B, this would be the A<->B radio connection)
3
You can choose to log a sensor on a specific Geocube or an all Geocubes. Once the acquisition rate is set,
simply press the “log” button. The list at the bottom of the page will refresh to display the status of every
sensor logged on each Geocube.
II.H. VERSION
This tabs gives you the version of the algorithm running on the server. If there is a newer version of the
algorithm, the following button will appear on the “reboot” tab :
4
III. GEOCUBE NETWORK
The first tab which you arrive on when logging in is “Geocube network”. It gives a quick overview of
installed devices in your system, their basic property, the quality of the satellite measurements, quality
of radio connections and whether the Geocube is stable or moving.
Name : each Geocube has a unique serial number. It is structured as OPHELIA followed
by a 5 digit number. You can find it on the side of the Geocube and it will appear
here.
Moving property : when launching a process (see Geocube User Manual), you have defined the
properties of each Geocube, either as a reference point (which will appear as
“FIXED”) or as a rover (which will then appear as “MOBILE”).
Radio RSSI : this is a measurement of the signal strength of the last stage between the
Geoport/Geocoord and the Geocube (i.e. if Geocube A goes through Geocube B
to get to a Geoport, it will measure the strength of the signal between Geocube
A and Geocube B). As a reminder :
To learn more about radio connections and networks, you can refer to the
document “Radio network configuration”.
Stability : standard deviation of the position over a sidereal day. Although it is not a
measurement of overall displacement in the last 24 hours or a measurement of
rapid movements (to visualise both, refer to the “Graphs” section), it gives an
indication whether a Geocube is drifting or not.
5
Quality : colour indicator gives an indication on the coherence and precision of the
algorithm calculations. A red indicator means that current position data provided
by the system has a low reliability. By default, fixed Geocubes will always appear
in yellow.
Below the chart you can access more precise information on each Geocube. Simply select the chosen
Geocube in the scrolling menu and click on “properties”. You will access the following page :
Data displayed is refreshed when the page is downloaded. If you need a dynamic view of the radio
connection quality (choosing best location, orientating an antenna, etc.), click on the “RF range test”
button. The dBm value displayed in the following page will be refreshed continuously, thus enabling to
monitor effects of modifying radio connections.
IV. MAP
The “map” tab enables you to locate your Geocubes on a background map. By positioning your mouse
on a particular mark, the name of the Geocube will appear (by default its serial number), thus allowing
you to visualise the architecture of your Geocube system.
V. DATA RETREIVAL
Geo3 allows you to download data attached to your system in all types of formats, through various
methods and with configurable frequencies. These features are particularly useful if your project requires
to integrate Geocube data with other types of data, if you need to undergo post-processing or simply if
you want to store the data in a separate location.
V.A. E -MAIL
To set the e-mail address csv files will be sent to, you must first define the destination e-mail under the
tab “administration” and then “parameters” along with the user login and password (on that occasion,
you will also be required to type user login and password).
6
Once this is done, you can go to the tab “data retrieval” and then “e-mail. This tab generates periodic e-
mails with csv files to a defined address. The generated csv file will contain all calculated data (x, y, z) for
all Geocubes in your system.
You can decide to activate the service and define the periodicity. Once done, click on “set mail service”
to launch the service.
V.B. DOWNLOAD
This tab allows you to directly download to your computer a CSV file with specific date range and
projection. Simply choose the date range (yyyy/mm/dd hh:mm format) and pick between the proposed
projections.
positions : generates a csv file with calculated positions of all Geocubes in the system
format would be : name,time,x,y,z,pdop,rms
OPHELIA-00134,2018-03-31 22:03:00,4502832.44469512,543190.427841756,4471625.27185183,6.7616006775324,0.00755151207996178
where pdop gives an indication on the quality of the constellation and rms gives an
indication on the quality of the calculations
sensors : generates a csv file with data provided by all sensors you have chosen to log (see chapter
XXXX additional sensors)

V.C. DATABASE
Use this functionality if you want the server to deposit directly in your database.
Click on the “activate” box and define the different fields with the following data :
user : username with access rights to access and write on the database
Then simply click on “set database connexion” and the server will start uploading data directly in the
database.
When clicking on the “FTP server” tab, the interface will require a login and password. In this case, use
kylia/kyliadata. You will have access to the following screen :
8
You will find the data corresponding to your data stored by year/month/day/hour. The hourly file will
contain, for all Geocubes in your sytem, the following data :
GEOCUBE,UNIXTIMESTAMP,X,Y,Z,PDOP,RMS,SIGMA_X,SIGMA_Y,SIGMA_Z
V.F. POST-PROCESSING

VI. GRAPHICS
Here, you can choose which type of projection you prefer between the following options:
9
height being the difference with reference ellipsoid
• Lambert93 (east,north,alt)
altitude being the difference with
• Lambert 93 (east,north,alt)-(Te,Tn,Th) rotated in respect with azimuth of Az
• plane (east, north,up) in respect with fixed Geocube
1. define a number of days, interval displayed will then be the n last days. Number of days may be
a decimal number (ex : 4.6 days)
2. define a start and a finish date with the following format : 2018/03/12 11:22 (hours may be left
out, in which case, they will be considered as 00:00)
In both cases, number of points displayed will be automatically set by the system for optimal
viewing/calculation conditions.
In all cases, press “set” before exiting the page for your settings to be taken into consideration. You can
obviously change graphic settings as often as required, it does not affect the system.
VI.B. GRAPHS
Once settings are defined, you can click on the “graphs” tab to view the data. All Geocubes in your system
have a specific tab, where different sets of data are displayed. When you first click on the “graphs” tab,
the data of the first Geocube will show up.
The first 3 graphs correspond to the three axis : first graph will be x, second y and the third z.
There might be extra graphs if you have chosen to log additional information (voltage, temperature,
number of satellites, etc.) as per section II.F.
For each position graph (i.e. x, y, z), there are 3 curves represented on the graphic, each corresponding
to a different set of data :
• raw data : data provided by the algorithm without any additional processing
• average : 24h average value of the raw data. Useful to precisely follow long term drifts and
slow movements
10
• sidereal : correction of cyclical multi-path effects. Useful to monitor intra-day movements
or rapid movements.
By default, all three curves are showed simultaneously. To mask or unmask a particular curve, just click
on the corresponding segment on the right hand side :
