Why Newspaper Pencils?

A plantable newspaper pencils are an environment-friendly and high-performance quality pencil that are
made completely of used newspapers. By purchasing newspaper pencils you can contribute to the
planet by stopping deforestation, mitigating global warming and encouraging the habit of reduce, reuse

Majority of the conventional pencils available in market are made of wood as a result of cutting trees
from the forest and unsustainable sources. Studies show that a large tree is required to produce 3000
pencils. Around the world, approximately 15 billion pencils are produced every year. Just imagine the
amount of wood required to produce such a large quantity. On the other hand, if you contemplate the
mechanical pencils, these pencils are made using plastic which is again an environmental hazard. With
the above facts, think twice before choosing a mechanical or wood pencil.

Newspaper pencils can mitigate global warming

Since traditional pencils use wood, the manufacturing process requires a lot of wood to be cut which
causes large-scale global warming. The reality of global warming and climate change is the impact of
drought, rising temperature levels, rising sea water level, untimely floods and many more negative
impact on nature. Hence, encouraging newspaper pencil can definitely create an impact by reducing
carbon emissions.
