1 Actuator Assembly

The document provides torque specifications for various sizes of bolts and capscrews made from different strength grades. It lists the recommended torque values in both inch-pound and foot-pound units for lubricated and dry fasteners. It also notes that higher grade fasteners should not be tightened beyond the strength of the original and that clean, properly started threads are important to prevent failure.

Grade 2 applies for hex head capscrews up to 152 mm (6 inches) long. Grade 1 applies for hex head capscrews over
152 mm (6 inches) long, and for all other types of bolts and screws of any length.
DO NOT use these values if a different torque value or tightening procedure is given for a specific application.
Torque values listed are for general use only. Check tightness of fasteners periodically.
Fasteners should be replaced with the same or higher grade. If higher grade fasteners are used, these should only
be tightened to the strength of the original.
Make sure that the threads are clean and that thread engagement is properly started. This will prevent threads
from failing when tightened.
“Lubricated” means coated with a lubricant such as engine oil, or fasteners with phosphate and oil coatings. “Dry”
means plain or zinc plated without any lubrication.
