1. What makes marriage a covenant?
Answer: A covenant is a commitment which God initiates. When the Catholic Church teaches that
marriage is a covenant, it is using an ancient and rich concept to describe how God’s steadfast and
exclusive love for his people is a model for the loving union of a married couple. Marriage a covenant
becuase its an image of Gods' love. For instances, when an individual enters into the covenant of
marriage in the temple, he or she makes a covenants with both God and with his or her spouse. Spouses
promise faithfulness to each other and to God.
2. What do you mean by “directed toward the good of the couple and the procreation and education
of their children” in relation to out interpretation of the scripture passage “Go to the world and
multiply”?
Answer: When the couple are marriage, and loving each other until his/her death.Then starts to
instructed to populate the earth, to reproduce. Mankind is told to fill the earth with their productions as
well as with themselves.As they give thier child, Parents, as principal educators of their children, are at
the service of life.The grace of this Sacrament perfects the love of husband and wife, binds them
together in fidelity, and helps them welcome and care for children. Christ is the source of this grace and
he dwells with the spouses to strengthen their covenant promises, to bear each other’s burdens with
forgiveness and kindness, and to experience ahead of time the “wedding feast of the Lamb” (Rev 19:9).
In other words, Not all married couples are able to have children. “Spouses to whom God has not
granted children can nevertheless have a conjugal life full of meaning. . . . [and] can radiate a fruitfulness
of charity, of hospitality and of sacrifice” (CCC, no. 1654).
3.Explain: Marriage, a vocation and a sacrament, was created and blessed by God for the mutual help,
love and sanctification of man and woman and for the generation of children.
Answer: Marriage a formal union and legal contract between two individuals that unites thier lives
legally, economically and emotionally. Marriage as Vocation meaning the responsse to a call from
beyond oneself to use personal strenght and gifts to makes the world a better place trough service,
creativity and leadership. In the other hand, Marriage as a sacrament, according to the bible it is a
covenant by which man and women establish between themeselves a partnership for thier whole life. In

4. Like all vocations, Christian marriage is not an easy way of life, rather, it is a long path toward
sanctification. (Explain)
Answer: We all know that Christian marriage is covenant, and also to follow Christ. The vocation to
marriage is a call to a life of holiness and service within the couple’s own relationship and in their family.
As a particular way of following the Lord, this vocation also challenges a couple to live their marriage in a
way that expresses God’s truth and love in the world.
