This document provides guidelines for the Teacher Apprenticeship Program (TAP) at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). The TAP aims to give trainee teachers early exposure to the school environment and help them understand their role as teachers. It is implemented in two phases of 2 and 4 weeks during semester breaks. Trainee teachers are placed in nearby secondary schools where they observe classes, interact with teachers and students, and reflect on linking theory to practice. The guidelines outline eligibility requirements, implementation procedures, responsibilities of all parties, and evaluation criteria to ensure a quality program that helps develop trainee teachers' skills in teaching, learning, and school management.
