Metco SF Aluminum Wire
®

This is an aluminum-silicon alloy wire manufactured exclusively for flame spraying. It produces
coatings which are harder, but somewhat less corrosion-resistant than coatings of Metco Aluminum
Wire. SF Aluminum sprays faster than Aluminum. The coatings are denser and finer in texture.

Metco SF Aluminum Wire is certifiable as meeting Department of Defense specification MIL-W-6712B,

Table II, Silicon Aluminum.

Metco SF Aluminum Wire can be sprayed with any Metco metallizing gun, using any fuel gas.

Applications

Metco SF Aluminum is recommended for machine element work, for building up worn aluminum parts,
for repairing blow-holes in aluminum castings, for changing the shape of aluminum castings in model
work, or for building up aluminum patterns.

Metco SF Aluminum is an excellent filler metal for brazing the higher melting aluminum alloys 2S, 3S,
and numbers 1 and 2 brazing sheet.

Use SF Aluminum for applying a heat-reflective or light-reflective surface to glass.
