SUPER PTI GUIDELINE for Very REEFER
SENSITIVE CARGO DEPARTMENT

‘Super PTI’ Guidelines for Very sensitive cargo container
This guideline must be respected in case of demand from Agency about very
sensitive cargo. You can find in this guideline the same instruction as a normal PTI
for a reefer plus the additional control for sensitive cargo.
This super Pti is done to take a maximum precaution about the status of the reefer
and to assure a perfect condition during the Trip.
Each steps of Additional Actions for Super PTI must be respected
1) The age of the container could not excess 3 years
2) Only Reefer Brand Carrier (Ml3i Ml2i PrimeLINE)
3) The structure of the reefer must be in perfect condition (gasket patch seal
ect...) in case of doubt the container will be rejected
4) Before the Super PTI the container must run 30 minutes at -18°c (to inc rease
pressure of gas) A full control (outside/inside) of leaks gas will be done with
an electronic detector. The depot will be liable about the good condition of
the piping.
5) An auto Pti must be launched on the reefer but in addition of that, the reefer
will be plug during 48 hours running instead the only 2.5 hours in actual auto
PTI.
4 hours with a temperature of 25°c with a control a perfect heating
system and regulation at this temperature.
44 hours at 0°c to control the perfect regulation and gas leak.

6) All drains (inside the container and drain tubes for defrost) must be washed
and cleaned.
7) The possibility of download must be check and tested (plug cable soft ect...)
no impossibility to extract the data will be permitted.
8) The save battery must be in perfect order and perfect charged.
9) An additional sensor will be add inside the container and link on the data
logger (similar as USDA process but with only one sensor) this sensor will be
controlled with datacorder to be sure about good functionality.
10) The correct charge of gas will be duly verified, and in case of any doubt a
process to extract and reload will be done to back to correct value.
11) No corrosion will be accepted for condenser or Compressor.
12) The configuration of the data logger must be reloaded with version Key
temperature lock, this version could downloaded from CMA-CGM M+R

13) The depot will input the temperature before container get out from depot
and the keyboard will be locked
For information we repeat the normal process for Pti on Mira.
In case of PTI, the Auto-PTI must be launched on Data Logger (will be recorded).
This record will prove that PTI has been done,
In case no Record in the Data Logger CMA-CGM will consider the PTI not done
and will keep the depot responsible and liable in case or cargo claim.
GENERALITIES
●Use AUTO-PTI Function - (AUTO-PTI Average Duration : 2,50 Hours).
●If machinery need repair - Check the warranty validity, see here under owned by
CMA-CGM :
►CARRIER Whole unit : 3 years / Fan Motor : 3 years / Compressor : 5
years
SUPER PTI PROCEDURE FORDEPOT
Before starting PTI following items must be checked:
●Container Identification Number
Date and Time (GMT)
Software Version
●Machinery must have the recent software upgrade (except particular cases).
●Check the Bolts/ Securing / Covers / Tightness of the Motors and Compressor
● Make sure there is no leakage of Oil / Gas
●Refrigerant Moisture Indicator / Wiring and Cables / Control Box / Electric Terminals
should be verified
●Level of Refrigerant must be checked after 30 minute running (in case of doubt
about low-charge or overcharged).
●Function of Drain Hose, Gutter and Drain Cups must be verified and should be
functional.
●During the container washing the drain tube must be clean in using the high
pressure from steam washing.
●Old PTI Labels or Out of Date PTI labels must be removed
CABLE
●The 380/440 volts power cable should be electrically safe. No cuts or cracks
allowed.
●Quantity of proper splices are unlimited.
●Minimum length should be 12 Mts.
●Check the Plug, if the pin is missing, replacement is mandatory.
●220 Volts power cable + plug on dual voltage machineries should not be inspected /
repaired /extended

COMPRESSOR SECTION
●Verify Junction Box.
●Verify Compressor Oil Level
●Compressor guard dented or cut, as long as functional, no action required.
●Service valve caps missing: need to be replaced.
CONDENSOR SECTION
●Blocked coils due to dust or corroded fins must be cleaned by compressed air only.
ELECTRICAL BOX
●Box should be Wind / Watertight
●Schematics missing: No Action

DATALOGGER
In case of exchange the following data should be set :
Container Identification Number
Date and Time (GMT)
All relays and parts must be properly fitted and attached inside the electric box. No
element must be free off (loose).
EVAPORATOR SECTION
●Motors and Fan: Check for abnormal noise vibration; verify no alarm is active in
controller.
●Drains: Must be free of dirt enabling evacuation of water.
MISCELLANEOUS
●Mainframe: No repairs unless operation is affected or panels/welding holed,
cracked or broken.
●Reefer man advises M+R for the defect seen in first place. Repetitive part failure
must be reported with container ID + part name and ref n° + photos if possible.
PARTLOW
●If the machinery is equipped with a Data-logger and Digital Display below must be
followed up :
- Box should be Wind / Watertight only (if the door is missing, repair only with a
plastic cover).
- Partlow is out of use and does not require repairs / replacement.
- Labels may be ordered / supplied locally.
-In case the Partlow is out of order following label should be fitted on the
partlow door window.
This is to avoid service calls on board vessels or terminals.
