Who Are You?

  Write this Reflection Assignment and paste the text into the text box submission for
this assignment:

The American nursing association is an association that helps nurses to grow in their profession.

By becoming a member of this organization, a nurse can receive recent nursing educative news,

receive certain benefits and receive support from other nurses. The qualification for membership

is that one becomes a licensed registered nurse. To become a licensed registered nurse the

NCLEX test must be taken and passed. Members are expected to know the Code of Ethics for

Nurses. The code of ethics is made of mainly nine provisions that nurses are supposed to know

and follow. It focuses on the importance of advocating for the patients, working with compassion

and respect, being committed to the patients, taking actions to provide optimal care, maintaining

continuous professional growth, and importantly maintaining professional work integrity. After

much research, I can understand that writing and reading in my field is a continuous process that

never ends.
The personality test revealed that I am fifty-one percent introverted, fifty-five percent observant,

seventy-two percent feeling, eighty-three percent judging, and seventy-one percent assertive. The

results, therefore, concluded that I am a person that tends to listen to people more carefully while

also picking up cues around me in order to be prepared for any situations that may arise.

It also explained that I tend to focus on what is happening around me while relying on

observable facts. When it comes to emotions the test revealed that I am more emphatic, and I

focus on social harmony and cooperation. Finally, it was declared that I prefer to stick to a plan

than to go with the flow and aim to complete my goals with successful results. Nursing is a field

that requires a great level of focus on one's environment and the ability to be ready to intervene

in any medical complications that may arise. I know that when taking care of patients, it will be

required of me that I take both subjective and objective facts on how the patients are feeling.

Being empathetic will also be an advantage since it will help me better connect with my patients

and form a patient-nurse relationship and trust.
