in certain ways
1.2 Reflection of Past Teaching 10  Elaborate on your past T&L experience, how you felt
Experience about the quality of your lessons
 Able to demonstrate the following abilities:
- explain and evaluate past teaching experience
- self-reflect on subject content, pedagogical
content and own experience
- discuss own reflection with reference to
relevant literature
- discuss in detail the values and beliefs
embedded in the teaching practice
- justify the intended area of study
2.0 FOCUS OF INVESTIGATION (10 marks)
2.1 Elaboration of Research  articulate the issue that relates to the researcher’s
Focus and Preliminary Data experience and students’ needs.
 justify according to the following criteria:
- workability
- significance
- practicality
- control
- collaboration
- relevance to school
 able to connect the focus of study with reliable and
credible literature
 state clearly the focus of study and opportunities for
improvement
 explain the preliminary data gathered to prove the
existence of the issue/ problem addressed
 provide a variety of relevant evidence to prove the

 demonstrate concern in addressing the issue/
problem highlighted
2.2 Action  identify and elaborate the AR model and the
intervention the researcher intend to use
 explain and justify the intervention using relevant
literature
2.3 Research Objectives, Research  state clear objective according to the following
Questions & Research aspects:

 action
 effect of action
 focused and appropriate research questions, relevant
to the identified objectives
 Describe the target group
- Who are they? (which class in what school)
- No of students?
- Age?
- Gender?
 Other relevant information
- Description of relevant participants’
characteristics in relation to your teaching
practice, for example, interests, motivation,
learning habits, attitude, behaviour, others
- Selection criteria? Why have they been
selected?
3.0 PLAN & IMPLEMENTATION OF ACTION (15 marks)
3.1 Steps of intervention/ action,  detailed steps/ activities for intervention
 explain the rationale of intervention
3.2 Data collection method  plan data collection method appropriate to address
the research questions
 justify the research instruments employed in the
study
