Mercedes Stone helps run the women’s shelter for her family named after her grandmother, she
take care of her sick grandmother, and basically she is too busy to have match of a social life.

When she takes on helping Gemma, a pregnant seventeen years old who was kicked out by her
mom, she never thinks it but would lead her to Scott. Scott is Gemma’s half brother who isn’t
happy to even see Gemma at his room. Gemma want to stay with Scott, but Scott didn’t want
Gemma to live with him so, So Mercedes helps Gemma find a place to safely finish her
pregnancy. All she has to do is convince Scott to open his home. So Scott thought that Gemma
would live with him , but he needed to clean the house and give her some money for her need.
Mercedes doesn’t let anyone besides her grandmother get close to her, but some reason she
attracted to Scott even when she doesn’t want to be. Scott slowly accept Gemma and start a very
rocky relationship with her and helping her. He had to accept the past and learn how to let go of
grudges and anger. The formed of relationship with his sister Gemma, is the reason why he was
able to. Scott also needed to work through the emotions that are result of his job as a paramedic.

At the first place Scott and Mercedes are seeing each other but they do not know each other.
They had a good relationship with only friends until they reached a relationship. Mercedes had
her own issues to solve. She has an older sister Charlie who wants to help take care of their
grandmother. Mercedes thought to fix herself and solve her problems. Until Mercedes and her
older sister Charlie were all organized. Mercedes’s grandmother apologized to her for her past
mistakes , because of her grandmother Mercedes had no time for herself and they made up her
grandmother. Scott and Mercedes are happy now in their relationship even though they have
arguments but they still fixed it. When the time Scott left Mercedes because he doesn’t like the
island and then they see each other again in such a very longtime. And then they want to start
over again of what they have started. And they live happily with no worries about there family.

like that when he/she is ignored by someone. And also a person feels alone when his mind is
thinking negative thoughts or thinking about someone who is very close to him/her. And

Chapter 1

Bethany was never got tired of running at Hanalei Bay. The run had been good for
her, she thought, glancing up at the wide blue bowl of sky. She glanced over as Holly threw her
arms wide across the grass. Bethany smiled as she turned her gaze towards the rockey shoreline
on the other side of the bay.

Suddenly, her smile faded a little and she felt a shiver go up her back. She glanced
over Holly who was quiet for once with a thoughtful look on her face as she studied in the sky.
They were guzzling water in front of the big save grocery store when Bethany’s mom arrived to
shuttle them to the church car wash. Her mom had spotted all the dirty rear windows they had
written wash me on as they headed just as the girl glanced up to the sky. Bethany was struck hard
by the sad look on the girl’s face. Something about the girl tugged at Bethany, something she
couldn’t put her fingers on. Andrea looked across the seat to where her dad sat. She saw that he
was looking toward the cliffs too. Something about the way he looked reminded her of herself
sad and alone, even in a car full of people. Andrea leaned her head against the car window and
glanced up to the blue expanse of sky again, searching.

Chapter 2

“Pretty awesome to see God pulling all of these teenagers together for a good cause,” Cheri said,
sharing a smile with Bethany as she stored the van around the bustling lot of people where the
car wash was going to be held.

Bethany and Holly were joined ,by Malia, Jenna, and Monica as they made a beeline for Sarah,
the youth director of North Shore Christian Church. As usual, in her element directing from her
small plastic table with a water bottle in one hand and a yellow note pad in other. “A girl after
my own heart. Look at how perfect her face looks,” Holly said with a sign, and the girls all
lough.

Chapter 3

She scramble off the bed and dragged her daypack and hiking gear out of her closet. Trail in the
morning, bur she was even more excited about the surf-a-thon. The surf contested he’d held in
California. Bethany smiled as packed. How wild if was that God had put Liam in her path and
how Liam had been inspired to do something for handicapped kids after they met.
Bethany’s smile faltered for a moment as the memory of the girl from the limousine popped into
her head again. Still, the memory of her sad face lingered. Long way down, Andrea thought as
she and her mom stopped for a breather.

Chapter 4

Bethany and Holly grinned at each other, feeling a little full of themselves. Then the trail slipped
around the side of the cliff again and Bethany felt her right shoe hit a putch of mud which sent
her skidding and sliding. “Andrea!” The voice sounded muffled at first…far away. Andrea
frowned and she was too tired to try to figure out where the voice was coming from. “God. If
you are there, please send help!” Andrea’s mind screamed.

Along with release of tears, Andrea felt a strong sense of peace came over her. She stopped
thinking about the danger and noticed the warm sun and gentle wind. She heard a strong inner
voice saying “Don’t lose Hope!” The farther the climbed, the more she made an effort to squash
the feeling of helplessness that had tried to over take her.

Chapter 5

If there was ever a time when Bethany felt that she might have made wrong decision she figured,
it was the moment she threw all caution to the spot where the girl was now clinging to an
exposed root she had latched onto on her way.

By the time Bethany mustered the courage to look down again Andrea and her rescuer looked
like ants under the other helicopter. She gazed past them then straight down to see ocean waves
crashing against the vertical face of napali a thousand feet below her. The biew nearly took her
breath away.

Chapter 6

Morning at the Hamilton household was in full swing by the time Bethany staggered stiffly out
of her bedroom and leaded into the kitchen. They hurried across the parking loy towards the
young blonde woman who was now rolling up signs and putting them in the back of her SUV.
The young woman looked at Andreas dad for a long moment and nodded to herself as if some
sort of decision had been made.

Chapter 7

Bethany stood at the edge of the edge of the beach and gazed happily at the crowd that was
quickly forming for the surf- a- thon fundraiser with in flat tables. At the end of the hour Sarah
blew he whistle, and the crowd came in laughing and telling stories of wipeouts, crashes and now
down.

After the students reported to Sarah the number of waves caught, they attacked their ice chests
and waited for the results.
Chapter 8

Bethany dug he toes into the sand as she and holly watched the small waves onto the beach. The
forecasted swell hadn’t materialized to nearly the size that was promised, but it had been a fun
day of surfing anyway, and neither of them felt like packing it in just yet. At least Bethany didn’t
she took in a deep breath, smelling and salt.

Chapter 1
Winnie Willis known the world over as Winnie the Horse Gentler joined competition of a Grand
National Championship were Winnie’s only have three more jumps and the tittle will be her. But
other horses are making their best to catch up of Winnie Willis and then with many obstacles that
horses passes by and one clean jump of Winnie Willis wins! Lizzy the owner of Winnie shouted
with the crowd Lizzy admires bugs but she can’t get enough of horses.
Richard Spidell called Winnie that she must be at school and their dad is a watchmaker. They
have a ranch back then by then their mother died and their father sold the ranch and more
eastward and meet summers and also owns a horse named Howard and Richard has a horse
named beauty shoveling a pile of manure of horses.
Chapter 2
Summer shouted that Winnie missed a spot of manure and in the horse stalls and finish eight
stalls and had almost finished this one which belonged to summer Lizzy named summer horse
scar and they have both the attitude like owner, like horse and summers shouted again you
missed a spot and put of manner over.
Winnie’s own shoulder’s so summer would hot annoy her. And visitors had come in their hunter
thinking and praying to God and shoved her braid off her shoulder and back to mucking and
heard her brother yell they’re here. The Howard family has come Mr. and Mrs. Howard are
newlyweds they had won blue ribbons in hunt competition and knowing that she’d start refusing
high pumps and Mr. Howard requested to have a private conversation with and winnie, and Mrs.
Howard will take a ride of beauty.
Chapter 3
At the far end of the Arena Bold Beauty galloped back and forth, dodging summer’s and Richard
attempts to catch her. Richard gave up and ran over to us. He was breathing hard. I’m afraid you
made a bad mistake buying that horse for your wife. Jeffrey drew his wife closer” that more was

Chapter 5
In Saturday winnie woke up because of the hunking and made it to my window in time to see a
crooked V of Canadian geese fly over the harn. I pulled on jeans and a sweatshirt and dashed
through the devy grass for an early ride on Nickers as we cantered around the pasture, an autum,
apple smell filled my lungs. Greens blurred into yellow and orange. Shaded maples clung to
Summer with only their tips turned red-liked autum fingernails. I eyed the ledge as we galloped
by, imagining Beauty and me flying over it.
Chapter 6
When winnie opened her eyes she couldn’t see the sun. For an instant she thought she was blind .
then the dark circle blocking the sun came into focus catmanstood over winnie hovering so close
his hair dangled against my cheek. Light dance behind my eyeballs. My chest burned. Lizzy
struggled for air. Catman says something to Winnie and I thought about beauty and catman said
beuty is cool lizzy wanted to believe catman but his lying i couldn’t see her. And winnie was
afraid to move if winnie will look back maybe maybe she will shattered. Catman stepped away
and came holding beauty winnie look up at the mare see catman scratched behinf beauty ears
beuty lowered her head and nuzzled my neck. And road beauty and while riding beauty Winnie
fall down at the back of beauty.
Chapter 7
In Sunday I woke up doze. Nothing hurts except her shoulder lizzy wanted to forget the day that
she fall while riding to beauty. She look at mirror and was shocked a blacleye on her left shulder
and a bruise on her shoulder to the elbow Winnie heard voices coming from the kitchen lizzy and
dad were laughing while going to the bathroom ang hung her towel over the door knob to lock
the bathroom door. And take a bath and braded her wet hair after finishing taking her bath and
greeting dad and lizzy goodmorning ang telling that mom would love us going to churh together.
Chapter 8
Mrs. Barker drove up in the barker bus a yellow van that looks more a school bus. Jhonny and
luke barker’s four- year –old and six-year old brothers, stuck their heads out of the window ang
yelled to lizzy to sit with them great-granny barker sat by the open front window and imaging if
Winnie has a grandmother she would like to have as same as granny barker. Mr barker who met
my dad in the lawn good to see you jack.
Chapter 9
Winnie could not sleep hardly on Sunday night anf kept imagining bold beauty trudging trough
the same boring routine, ridden by camp kids wo didn’t appreciate her . she was aborn hunter.
She’d never be happy walking in circles all day long. Ang she was determined not to let anyone
know beauty had thrown me on the high jump. If summer found out, she will tell the howards,
and that would be the end of my chance with beauty. And 30 minutes of being in the bathroom
experimenting winnie’s mmake up who pat did to hide the purple and yellow blotch under on
winnie’s eye that can’t be hidden of make up in oder not to expose of wahat happen with her and
beauty. But stiil at the end bold beauty has had joined the debate team.
Chapter 10
Caught up with catman in the cafeteria anf waited to sat across from her his tray was loaded with
everthing in the cafeteria ladies had to offer. Between worrying abot the debate and beauty’s
high jump her stomach was to full for her to eat and asking catman that he did not talk about
joing barkers debate team. And juslt took a bite of his hamburger anf just nodded ang telling that
she’s in the team and saying cool but she told herself that she’s making a fool out of herself and
saying she’s stupid of joining the team.
Chapter 11
Little miss muffet was a real girl and knows her sisters voice floated in darkness above our beds
as the night outside grew darker. I wished the spiderweb she hadn’t stopped chattering about the
creatures.thomas muffet was a spder expert lizzy continued. He made his daughter eat mashed
spiders when she got sick. People thought eating spiders would cure a cold.
Chapter 12
Summer shrugged didn’t I tell you the howars were coing back early, Winnie honeymoon
hurricanes in the carribean. I had to tell Richard to meet us tomorrowafternoon, since we have
that debate tomorrow night. My hands tremled. I slid arm around beauty’s neck. Trusting she
tured to me, her fate in my hands. And really to see her high jump Richard sounded impatient.
Using the hedge out there cat man goes to the barn and walk up to beauty.
Chapter 13
Winnie pulls her jean over her pj’s and boots over her bare feet and slipped outside. Dew the
fallen leaves and lurked in the cold, damp air . and moved trough the barn as if in a dream,
saddling and bridling bold beauty while nickers and Towaco looked on. Before I could stop
myself, I mounted beauty and guided her to the jumps. I knew every inch of the pasture. The
ground shimmered in painted moonlight. I could do this of course I could.
Chapter 14
It took lizzy so long to wrestle my tangled hair inyo French braid and being the last to attend at
the teams tables between sal, dressed in neon green shirt that matched the streak in her hair, and
M wearing his black uniform. A few feet over, Ms. Brumby and her team summer,
Christine,Brian, and grant looked relaxed, laughing as if they had the debate already sewn up.
The gym floor chairs were filling fast the barkers dad and lizzy ,catmam took the front row and
listen to the debate and tallying scores and awarding points.
Chapter 15
Minutes later nickers strolled out of the barn with my dad and me riding doublr dad is behind
me holding so tightly and it was hard for me to breathe, in one hand and clutched the contest
entry. And feels the wind howled at our backs the three blocks to the mailbox. I guided my mare
close to the mail slot and pulled down the handle and dad hesitated with God I can enter a
contest with my god I can speak in a debate and shouted and ride a horse.. and laughed at each
other that we could go on riding against the wind nickers’hooves steady and sure, and the
possibilities endless.
