Compilation of Beautiful Du’aas

Du’aas compiled in this document are from the Sunnah with the source indicated at the
bottom of each Du’aa. It is highly recommended that you go through the meaning of each
Du’aa (at least once) in order to understand and connect better with the Du’aa as this will
then enhance the connection between you and Allah, Insha’Allah.
Please feel free to share this document and gain your share of reward, Insha’Allah.

Inspiration behind this compilation
Human beings are dependent on the mercy of Allah, the Almighty. Human beings are
also creatures of needs and desires and in order to fulfil these needs and desires we
need Allah. That is why we turn to Allah and submit ourselves to Him, seeking our
needs, wants and solution to problems from him, knowing that only He can provide
and resolve our problems.
We’ve realised that whatever problem a person may have, the Prophet PBUH has
already framed the supplications for those problems in the most eloquent manner. The
supplications of our Prophet PBUH are comprehensive, concise and full of submission
and humility. What better way to ask from Allah, except through the Sunnah
Supplications of the Prophet which he has taught us?
As human beings we often find that when asking from Allah our vocabulary may be
limited, or that it is bereft of humility and respect that is befitting the station of Allah
the Almighty. This compilation will enable us to be confident in verbalising our
supplications in a manner that will have more chances of our Du’aa being answered,
Insha’Allah, as these are from the Sunnah.
How to best use this document?
It is highly recommended that you go through the meaning of each Du’aa (at least
once) to understand and connect better with the Du’aa, as this will then enhance the
connection between you and the maker, Insha’Allah. This will also help you enjoy
making Du’aa.
Ahaadith (Source: Al-Tirmidhi, 2765, 2767) of the Prophet PBUH explain the process
of making Du’aa. Following this process maximises the chances of your Du’aa being
accepted. Process is as follows:
1. First praise Allah.
2. Then request for salutations and blessings upon the Prophet PBUH.
3. Then supplicate for what you desire; however, scholars explain that it is desirable
to start ones supplication over here by seeking forgiveness.
This document is thus compiled in the above sequence to enable you to optimise your
time asking from Allah along the desired process.
You may choose those supplications from each section that are most suitable and
applicable to you, if not all. Highlight them and start introducing them into your daily
Du’aas. Set aside some time every day to connect with Allah and seek your needs from
him. Some of the occasions where Du’aas are readily accepted are as follows:
 Whilst in Sajdah (During prostration);
 At the end of Fardh Salah (Obligatory Prayer);
 Between Adhan and Iqaamah;
 In the last third of the night;
 Day of Arafah;
 Whilst fasting and when opening the fast;
 During the last portion of the day of Jumu’ah;
 When you are sick;
 When drinking Zam-Zam water;
 When it rains;
 Whilst travelling;
 Making Du’aa for your absent brother;
 When oppressed;
 When a parent makes Du’aa for their child.
