This magnificent abbey stands atop a rocky islet in the gulf of Saint-Malo, on the northwestern Parts list Pattern : Nine A4 sheets (No. 1 to No. 9)
coast of France.
The abbey started as a small chapel dedicated to the Archangel Michael, in the early 8th century,

and took around 900 years to evolve into its present state. Assembly Instructions : Five A4 sheets (No. 1 to No. 5)
In 1979, it was designated a World Cultural Heritage Site. * Build the model by carefully reading the Assembly Instructions , in the parts sheet page order.
As the result of continuous reconstructions in Romanesque and Gothic styles, the whole islet has
the appearance of a single, huge edifice. The abbey spire sits atop the islet' s peak, reaching a Hint: Trace along the folds with a ruler
height of approximately 150 meters above the sea. and a used pen (no ink) to get a sharper, easier fold.

Assembly Instructions
Mountain fold (dotted line) Glue Scissors, set square, glue (We recommend stick glue),
Make a mountain fold. The glue spot (colored dot) Tools and materials pencil, used ballpoint pen, toothpicks, tweezers,
shows where to apply the glue. (useful for handling small parts)
Valley fold (dashed and dotted line)
Make a valley fold. Glue spot(Red dot) Before gluing, crease the paper along mountain
Glue parts with the same number together. Assembly tip fold and valley fold lines and make sure
Scissors line (solid line) rounded sections are nice and stiff.
Cut along the line. Glue spot(Green dot)
Glue within the same part. Glue, scissors and other tools may be dangerous
Cut in line (solid line) Caution to young children so be sure to keep them out of
Glue spot(Blue dot) the reach of young children.
Cut along the line. Glue to the rear of the other part.

There is a sheet number (No. 1 to No. 9) printed at the bottom center of each Pattern page.
Assemble the model in the order of the page numbers.(*Assembly parts are on sheets No. 2 to
No. 9.)
There are a total of 77 parts and each sheet carries a parts symbol.
The 'glue spot' on each part bears the number of the part to which it should be glued.)
The numbers , etc., on each part indicate the order in which they are to be glued.
Where there are multiple joints within a single part, or 'glue spots' where the part is to be
glued to another, there are colors and numbers to give detailed instructions as to the
correct positions.
