Ganapati Sankshipt Puja Vidhi

1. Avirbhava (आिवभाव)
First of all to worship Lord Ganesha take good shape areca nut (Supari) and clean it with
water. Then wrap around areca nut with Molly (मौली) and install it on some base made of
silver, bronze or any auspicious metal or ceramics. Then by leaving Gandhakshata in the
base feel the manifestation of Lord Ganapati while chanting following Mantra.

Om Gananam Tva Ganapati Havamahe Priyanam Tva Priyapati Havamahe।


Nidhinam Tva Nidhi-Pati Havamahe Vaso Mam।
Ahamajani Garbhadhama Tvamajasi Garbhadham।

2. Avahana (आवाहन)
Leave Akshat while chanting following Mantra and feel that Lord Ganesha has emerged
there. Then invoke Him with following Mantra. While calling Shri Ganesha your hands
should be in Avahana Mudra in front of the chest (Avahana Mudra is formed by joining
both palms and folding both thumbs inwards).

Om Bhurbhuvah Svah Shriganapate!

Ihagachchha, Iha Tishtha, Mam Pujam Grihana।

3. Prana Pratishta ( ाण ित ा)
Now while chanting following Mantra do Pranapratishtha of areca nut by showing Lelihan
Mudra.

Om Mano Jutirjushatamajyasva Brihaspatiryagyamimam


Tano Tvarishtam Yagya Samimam Dadhatu।
Vishve-Deva Sa Iha Madayantam Om Pratishtha।

4. Dashopachara Pujan (दशोपचार पूजन)


After Prana Pratishtha offering water on areca nut and worship Lord Ganesha with
Padya, Arghya, Gandhakshata etc. by chanting following Mantras.

Om Ganapataye Namah Padayoh Padyam Samarpayami।


Om Ganapataye Namah Shirasi Arghyam Samarpayami।
Om Ganapataye Namah Gandhakshatam Samarpayami।
Om Ganapataye Namah Pushpam Samarpayami।
Om Ganapataye Namah Dhupam Ghrapayami।
Om Ganapataye Namah Dipam Darshayami।
Om Ganapataye Namah Naivedyam Samarpayami।
Om Ganapataye Namah Achamaniyam Samarpayami।
Om Ganapataye Namah Tambulam Samarpayami।
Om Ganapataye Namah Dakshinam Samarpayami।

5. Prarthana ( ाथना)
At last pray to Lord Ganesha having folded hands while chanting following Mantra.

Anena Pujanena Shri Ganapatih Priyatam।
