Clinical Case

Patient Covidia (PC), 58 years old female being a first time mother was admitted
due to labor pains at the Malayong Silanganan Hospital. YOU cared for PC
during the first 24 hours of her admission and notices that the patient has a very
low level of tolerance to pain during labor and the entire delivery. As her SN,
you knew that Nomal Spontaneous Delivery medical intervention were:
Antibiotic q 8 and mefenamic acid PRN. You asked yourself, what nursing
intervention can be given to her considering her age?

Instruction:

Divide the class into 5 groups.


Understand that situation fully, try to analyse what is being asked. Look for a journal that would help PC’s
problem be resolve. After the groups consensus on what journal to use for the intervention, fill up the table
provided below. The answer the following questions thereafter.
