The title of the book/ article I have read is: The role of the exemplar in Arendt and Spinoza: insights for
moral exemplarism and moral education
AUTHOR’S LOGIC: The author is conveying the message/idea of:
Example: “Green” branding of businesses has gone too far and no longer carries the same sort of impact it once did.
Today, so many people are concerned with the environment that many businesses try to represent themselves as being
“green.” They want to have a reputation for being environmentallyconscious.
In late October of 2019, we brought together scholars from very different traditions in order to explore
the notion of exemplarity and the role of exemplars in education. Bringing together scholars working
on ethics and moral exemplarism, Spinoza scholars and Arendt scholars, we attempted to bring these
different perspectives to bear on the role of exemplarity in education. Not in order to create a synthesis
of ideas or to find solutions for practical issues, but in order to explore collegially the important issue
of exemplarity in education.
STUDENT’S LOGIC: Provides learners with an opportunity to reflect and think about how they actually solve problems and
how a particular set of problem solving strategies is appropriate for achieving their goal. What is to be accomplished/learned?
Example: In support of the Supermarket “Green” initiatives, I bring my own shopping bags for grocery shopping and
say no to plastic bags.
It was an attempt to bring people together in order to share a couple of days away from everyday
academic life so as to engage the object of study without distractions. Part of what it occasioned can be
read in this special issue.

I learned in our prayer that always be happy , be more understanding and be easy on yourself .
My action today is to be more productive everyday . Don’t let pass the day you have nothing accomplished.
In our lessons for today, I have learned about:
1. Case study analysis requires you to investigate a problem, examine the alternative solutions, and
propose the most effective solution using supporting evidence.
2. Ethical decision-making refers to the process of evaluating and choosing among alternatives in a
manner consistent with ethical principles.
3. In making ethical decisions, it is necessary to perceive and eliminate unethical options and select
the best ethical alternative.
4. Gather the facts.
5. Define the ethical issues.
6. Identify the affected parties.
7. Identify the consequences.
8. Identify the obligations.
9. Consider your character and integrity.
10. Think creatively about potential actions.
I will memorize the above learning points, explain them in my own words, and apply them in our activities.
