QUICK GUIDE – Titanium Getting Started

Appointment Book Module

Find your apointment book :


File> Appointments > My Appointments
This will open your appointment book

To save the appointment book to the short cuts bar- Click


on Window – Add to Menu bar

Double click on the appointment to open


• Check for Notes about this appointment and Notes
about this patient
• Check for future appointments and the patient’s
appointment history

Patient Module

To open a blank Patient record


Click on the “Patients” shortcut button

Linking Function

The Linking Button


Click once to turn on this function
This will link the Patient record to the Appointment book

Record Keeping

Charting
In the Chart TAB click on the upward facing blue arrow to
show the activity Tabs

In the Base Tab – use the filter box to refine the list to Base
Chart Items
Click on the appropriate coding and apply to the relevant
tooth on the odontogram

Coding
Code #I.D.-MATCH for every patient at every visit

Code numeric item codes for service items

Add clinical notes to Item codes


Click on the item code and then right click to open edit
screen – add notes

Code #TRACKING to record bar coded sterilizer stickers

Last Code: #HO-NEXTV : complete with details of what


treatment is to occur at the next visit

Add a GENNOTE – to document treatment notes

Your clinical supervisor will check all coding and clinical


notes – then tick all the boxes next to the codes - then
charge all treatments to finalise the record

Treatment - Coding Instructions: Treatments can be entered in either of 2 ways:

1: Double clicking on an item in the treatment code list

The position of where the treatment will be placed in the course of care will be determined by the
position of the arrow.
If the treatment being entered requires a tooth number +/- surface, this will be prompted
Here the surface(s) can be indicated by clicking in the option boxes or using the shortcut buttons to the
right for multi surface services.

2: Dragging the treatment item from the service list by holding down the left mouse button –
This is a useful method in entering treatments for previous appointments as it allows the user to direct
exactly where the treatment will be placed.

Titanium Code Filter: The Item codes list can be filtered

Numeric codes

• The source of the item codes is the The Australian Schedule of Dental Services and Glossary Eleventh Edition
(2017) published by the Australian Dental Association
• RDHM has additional codes eg 311NC : extraction of a non carious tooth
• Useful codes: Interpreter 935; Prescribing codes 927 AM (antimicrobial ) , 927NR (non responsive), 927O
(other medication)

Alphabetical codes

• LA – Local anesthesia
• GENNOTE- General Note
• TTHNOTE Tooth Specific Note

Custom Screens

Custom screens are codes used to enter clinical information in preformatted templates- they have a # as a prefix

#I.D.-MATCH : code this at very visit – every patient

#ACHCR: Australian Charter of Health Rights: code this once per course of care

#TRTPLAN Asses, Diag, Trt Plan and Consent – at least once per course of care
