The 5E model allows students an opportunity to be able to use an order to understand
and guide their learning. By using this model within science it allows students to
understand the concepts over time and provides the ability to build upon prior
knowledge. By integrating it across a whole unit within other subjects will allow students
to apply the same way of thinking within science into their other subjects as well and
build upon knowledge from other subjects, not just the current subject.

scientific background and literature within their lessons. In science, we have a sequence
where we observe, analyze, write a hypothesis, look at data and come to a conclusions,
which can be shown throughout all subjects to help the students learn and understand
these other subjects and to explain it in an appropriate manner.

Analysis and Summary of Audience Assessment
Directions: Record assessment data into Assessment Data Table (see end of document). Include copies of assessment tool with submission. Include at least one graph in your summary.
There were teachers from grades 7 and 8. The audience were given questions throughout and they were asked to complete a survey
on them at the end. I asked them knowledge before the presentation by a simple raise of hands, and a majority of the teachers didn’t
know what the 5E model even was. I had many comments towards the end about how engaging and informative it was, and that they
were hoping to use it within their classrooms to help tie other subjects in the engage the students more.
