HOME-BASED CHILD PROTECTION POLICY (HCPP)

DURING NEW NORMAL DISTANCE LEARNING SYSTEM

CODE OF CONDUCT

( TO BE TRANSLATED IN MOTHER TONGUE)

FOR THE PARENTS/GUARDIANS/ELDER SIBLINGS:

1) Strict implementation of DepEd Order No. 40, s. 2012 ______ , Republic Act 7610 _____ and
Inter-Agency Task Force Guidelines in relation to standard health protocol against COVID-19
pandemic situation;
2) Always apply positive non- violent discipline to the child/learner(open-communication approach);
3) “Kumustahan ‘ by the parent to the child/learner. This will be done everyday;
4) Prepare the study area or an area where the child/learner preferred to study provided,
such area is free from distractions;
5) Follow-up the class schedule given by the Teacher to the child/learner. In case of changes, the
Teacher must be informed;
6) Any concerns about the module, assignment or requirements of the child/learner, always refer to
the Teacher;
7) Allow the child/learner to play or have a break. This must be his/her learning styles. Ensure the
safety of the child/ learner while playing or during break-time;
8) Never ever force the child/learner to study especially if not feeling well;
9) Immediately, inform the Teacher that the child/learner is not feeling well for possible appropriate
responses;
10) Do not answer the learning materials / modules given by the Teacher to the child/learners;
11) If the child/learner is quiet for the day and unusual to you, then, immediately inform the Teacher;
12) If possible, you will always be the side of the child/learner in an online class with the Teacher;
13) Participate in the “Parents’ Consultation” called for by the School through the initiative of the
Teachers/ Advisers;
14) Lead or accompany the child/learner to watch/listen/read the Words/Gospel/Scriptures/Verses
before the start of her/his class at home.
15) For the day, say a “MAGIC word” to your child/learner shall help them achieve their long term
goals in life.

FOR THE CHILD/LEARNER:

ALWAYS ---

1) Greet and say thank you or any magic words to your parent/guardian everyday;
2) Offer a prayer to our dear Almighty Father/ Allah/ _____ before and after class;
3) Take your meal on time;
4) Take your breaktime;
5) Follow the class schedule given by the Teachers
6) Inform your parent/guardian that you want to play during break time;
7) Obey your parent especially before your class schedule like doing the household chores (sa makaya
lang buhaton)
8) Refer the concerns about the module to your Teacher only;
9) Everyday, plan your target goals for the day and inform your parent about your plan
10) Report to your trusted adults whenever you felt bad about your yourself.
FOR THE TEACHER

1) Strictly follow the provisions of DepEd Order No. 40, s. 2012 and Republic Act 7610
2) Always implement positive non- violent discipline to the child/learner
(open-communication approach); Corporal punishment is strictly prohibited;
3) Be reminded of the rights of the child. Show empathy all the times.
4) Coordinate well with the parents/guardians. Please get the mobile number of the parent/guardian;
5) Enrich with new ideas, approaches… which shall redound to the benefit of the learners;
6) Follow the filled out LESF of the learner with parent;
7) Report any disclosed child abuse following the referral system under DO No. 40, s. 2012;
8) Follow up the learners and communicate with them even through “emoji” to be inserted in their
respective module;
