Brief description of network/civil society organisation: We are a large group of volunteers (63 people) who
provide foodstuffs to families in need. We gather data about the conditions of families. Then we list them
according to the severity of the case to provide them with food boxes throughout the year.
Brief description of one main achievement you accomplished within the network/organisation: I helped
collect about 10,000 LE throughout those four years, participated in the packaging of hundreds of food boxes,
and distributed them by car.

 Lead marketer and fundraiser in the Jasmine Project, a tailoring project helping Syrian refugee women
in Turkey to start their own businesses and gain a livelihood and to break out of poverty.
 Tutoring refugee children with cancer who are often missing school dur to their health condition.
 Volunteering closely and remotely as a translator and coordinator in various charitable projects and
campaigns for serving refugees in the city of Adana – Turkey.
Brief description of network/civil society organisation Safe Haven for Refugees Foundation is a 501 c 3
charitable organization (EIN: 82-4932037). In Turkey, Safe Haven works with Anything For A Smile
Association, (Her Sey Bir Gulucuk Icin), a registered charity in Turkey. Together we provide lifelines and
support for the most desperate cases of refugee families in southern Turkey - especially widows and orphans.
Brief description of one main achievement you accomplished within the network: Being a women
empowerment advocate, I developed an exclusive interest in the Jasmine project. It aims to empower Syrian
widows to raise their orphaned children by sewing and selling bags. I promoted the project amongst my network
and managed to sell over 160 bags overseas in two months. I also raised around 4800 Turkish Liras that were
enough to buy another two sewing machines and include more widows in the project. I still assist in product
improvement by collecting feedback from global users of the bags in my network. In addition to that, and during
my time in Adana, I visited many widows to support them and tutor their kids whose health conditions prevented
them from attending schools.

Brief description of network/civil society organisation: The Youth Employment Summit (YES) Campaign is a
civil society response to the enormous global challenge of youth unemployment. The campaign was formally
launched at the first Youth Employment Summit in September 2002, in Alexandria, Egypt. Co-chaired by former
U.S. President Bill Clinton and Egyptian First Lady Suzanne Mubarak, this first Summit was attended by over
1600 delegates from 120 countries.
Brief description of one main achievement you accomplished within the network/organisation: During my
work with YES-Egypt, my work was dedicated to informal education. I trained almost 350 trainees on various
knowledge and skills to be employed by them in simulation models such as AIMUN 2010 and 2013. In addition
to that, I lead the first HR team in YES-Egypt, of 5 members, with which I implemented my vision of the
contribution the team provided to the MNBI model.

 Helping raising funds through collecting donations to support some poor families who cannot afford
medication.
 Cooperating with the medical team in El Shatby Hospital to help raise awareness against infectious
diseases through organizing awareness campaigns at the hospital.
Brief description of network/civil society organisation: As health is the greatest gift one can have, we aim to
support one of the public Children's hospitals in Alexandria. Our goal is to improve the quality of service the
child receives in the hospital through, collecting donations to fulfill the deficiencies in some medications,
equipment, facilities, and care. We also support children with pediatric surgery and congenital differences by
providing health, psychological, financial, and social support for children and their parents.
Brief description of one main achievement you accomplished within the network/organisation: Through
the association, I managed, along with my colleagues, to raise funds using my network of university professors
and friends. I used the funds to acquire needed medical equipment, renovate the Leukaemia ward, and cover the
medication deficiency in the hospital's pharmacy. I also managed to negotiate deals from different pharmacies to
cover the missing medications with good discounts. I also helped organize, with the team of volunteers, three
parties in the hospital in 3 consecutive years to distribute gifts to the children and draw a smile on their faces.
