SECTION II- IDENTIFICATION OF HAZARDS
TOXIC EFFECTS OF EXPOSURE/ CONTACT :
HMIS Rating: Health – 0, Flammability – 0, Reactivity - 0
SKIN CONTACT : May cause irritation, defatting & dermatitis of skin on prolonged/ repeated contact.
EYE CONTACT : May cause mild irritation, tearing and reddening of eyes.
INHALATION : May cause mild irritation of respiratory track during cutting, grinding, etc.
operations. On prolonged or repeated exposure to crystalline silica may cause
silicosis.
INGESTION : Not anticipated as normal route of entry.
LONG TERM EFFECTS: Contains substance that is possible reproductive hazard based on animal
studies. May affect lungs reproductive system. This product does not contain
regulated levels of NTP, IARC, ACGIH or OSHA listed carcinogens.

SECTION IV- FIRST AID MEASURES
SKIN CONTACT: Flush skin with soap & water while removing contaminated clothes. Seek medical
help if required. Wash contaminated clothes before reuse.
EYE CONTACT: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 20 minutes. Consult
Physician if irritation persists.
INHALATION : Move the subject to fresh air. If respiration is difficult, seek help from Physician.
INGESTION : Immediately give two glasses of water to drink. Do not induce vomiting. Never
give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Call a Physician.
NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: There is no specific antidote, treatment should be given symptomatically.
SECTION V - FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD OF MATERIAL

FIRE EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Not considered to be a fire/ explosion hazard. Use Water spray,
foam, Dry Chemical Powder or carbon dioxide to extinguish the fire.
THERMAL DECOMPOSITION PRODUCT: May yield acrid smoke and irritating gases with oxides of
carbon, silicon dioxide and formaldehyde containing gases.
SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURE: Wear self contained breathing apparatus or equivalent
[MSHA/ NIOSH - approved in fighting large fires involving chemicals.
UNUSUAL FIRE AND EXPOLSION HAZARDS: There is possibility of pressure buildup in closed
containers when heated. Cool the containers with water.

SECTION VI - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS: No adverse health effects from clean-up of spilled material. Do not
allow large quantities to enter drains. Use personal protective equipment &
handling listed under sections VII & VIII
ENVIRONMENT PRECAUTIONS: Review fire and safety precautions before proceeding with clean
up. Use appropriate personal protective equipment during clean up. Dike and
contain spill with inert material [e.g. sand, earth, saw dust, etc.] and transfer to
containers for final disposal.
CLEANING METHODS: Wash floor with soapy water after cleaning the area with inert material. Clear
water may be sewered for biological treatment.
SECTION VII- HANDLING AND STORAGE
HANDLING PROCEDURE: Protect against physical damage. Observe good hygiene practices. Use
appropriate Personal Protective Equipment [PPE] during handling.
STORAGE REQUIREMENTS : Keep in cool, dry and in a ventilated place away from water or
moisture and oxidizing materials. Keep container tightly closed when not in
use. Maintain good housekeeping.
SECTION VIII- EXPOSURE CONTROL/ PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
HYGIENE MEASURES: Do not eat, drink or smoke when working. Wash hands before breaks and
after work.
EYE : Use splash proof chemical safety goggles or equivalent while handling this product.
SKIN : Use nitrile gloves, aprons if condition s warrant.
RESPIRATION: None required if good ventilation is maintained in the area. Otherwise suggested to
wear OSHA (29 CFR 1910.134) approved respirator where concentrations is more.
OTHERS : Eye wash facility.
ENGINEERING CONTROLS : General ventilation is recommended.

SECTION XII - ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Environmental Fate and Distribution: Solid material, insoluble in water. No adverse effects on
aquatic organisms and bacteria are predicted. No bioaccumulation potential.
SECTION XIII - DISPOSAL INFORMATION
This product does not meet the defination of hazardous waste under the U.S. EPA hazardous Waste
Regulations 40 CFR 261. May be disposed off in accordance with current local or central regulation.
SECTION XIV - TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION
The material is not considered as dangerous under Transportation Regulations. The material is not
regulated under IMDG/ DOT or IATA.
