Subject: Motivation letter for admission in the PhD program In Computer Science and
Engineering

I am writing this letter to communicate my profound motivation to pursue my PhD degree in


Computer Science and Engineering. I recently graduated with a Master's degree in Software
Engineering from Northeastern University, China, via a fully-funded Chinese Government
Scholarship. Earlier I got my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Agricultural
University, Peshawar, Pakistan via a fully-funded departmental scholarship for eight
consecutive semesters. I believe I am the right candidate for this program because I work hard,
highly motivated and disciplined, and push my boundaries to look for new opportunities, as
evident from my research experiences. For my BS and MS degree program, I opted for the
degree by research plus course work. For master thesis, I worked on a project titled as "Design
and Implementation of the Online Academic Resource Management System", which is a web-
based information and is developed to provide a solution to a large of academic information
management

I have published my research in a well-reputed journal with the title as 'Man in the Middle
Attacks: Analysis, Motivation and Prevention' in the International Journal of Computer
Networks and Communications Security. One other research paper titled 'Federated Meta-
Learning for Spatial-Temporal Prediction' recently published.

Furthermore, this is to share with you that I worked as a Web-Designer at Shaheen Chemist
Pakistan after completing a Bachelor's degree. Later on, I joined Prime Minister Youth program
for a one-year internship at the Educational Department, FATA Secretariat, Peshawar. During
my master's degree, I joined Neusoft Corporation, China. I came back to my country and started
working full time as a web developer for PlayRIX Technologies for one year, where I became
more confident and comfortable using Python, Php and JavaScript. Furthermore Currently I
am working as Lecturer Ekka Ghund Govt, Degree College Department of Computer Science
affiliated with University of Peshawar, Also, I have designed a database for my District's
domicile certificate.
I choose this program because I believe that this PhD degree in Computer Science and
Engineering combined with the knowledge and basics I gained during my master's and self-
studies will benefit me in widening my expertise in the relevant field of study later to serve in
a better way. Based on my skills and proposed research area, I intend to write quality research
papers during my studies and firmly believe that I would get them published in useful journals
and conferences. After completing my studies, I see myself in an organization engaged in
Research and Development or possibly academia as a professor to develop the strong
foundations of research in that institution. I believe that students are the best investment for a
healthy future. Doing a world-class research degree and teaching the next generation about
conducting international standard research would contribute to my country's growth.

Through this letter I liked to request an opportunity regarding a PhD in the field Computer
Science and Engineering I will be the first one in my District, to have a PHD Degree in
Computer Science and Engineering. There are no PhD Professors at our university. I would
like to have a PHD Degree from China and help our students to achieve quality education. It
would be my dream come true to achieve a PhD Degree and serve my country.
