Madame:

Good day!

The AB – Communication students, headed by the Mass Communication Students Association

(MCSA), will be launching the 15th Mise-En-Scene 2019: Short Film Festival while it
celebrates its 21th year as a program in the university. The Film Festival will be held on
February 17 to February 21, 2020 with the working title: Mise-En-Scene: Chains of
Misery.

The theme “Chains of Misery” is about the problems that humans encounter in their everyday
lives. It also tackles the experiences and learnings that human have gone through.

This event would cultivate awareness and education among the UA audiences and also enhance
the talent of the Communication students as well as other departments of the University in
various disciplines of film appreciation and analysis given a venue. This activity has been a
tradition that’s made possible for film exposure and application where we believe that film and
the process of filmmaking serve as a realistic and relevant approach that breed strongly-
inculcated values like love, care, leadership, self-reliance, respect and appreciation for others,
objectivity, and open-mindedness.
In line with this, our organization is inviting your office and entire department to support and
watch our films. The Premiere showing will be held on February 17, 2020 and the
Regular showing will be held from February 18 to February 20, 2020 at the UA
Auditorium. Tickets for the premiere showing are available for PHP 100 and regular shows
are PHP 50.

Very respectfully yours,
