out of bamboo—the industry of the future.

LOGO

The round rotary blade around the bamboo symbolizes the purpose of the company which
is to slice bamboo. The panda with a white hardhat of an engineer symbolizes the creators behind
the brand. We used panda as our persona because this animal loves eating bamboos. The small
gears in the inside are the symbol of Mechanical Engineering. The small knives in the inside are
the symbol of slicing. The color green symbolizes nature, good luck, and it is also the color of
Mechanical Engineering in our school. We also included the year of establishment; 2021 when
our thesis title was approved.

Vision:
To make the world of business more environmentally friendly by advocating the beauty
of bamboo to eventually inspire and spark change.

Mission:
To create awareness about bamboo as a raw material and to provide new and improved
ways of creating products that can help improve the quality of life.

Objectives:
 Offer products and services that are priced appropriately for each segment of the market.
 Target markets that will provide us with the greatest market penetration.
 Prioritize the customer’s request and feedback in relation to all the aspect of the

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

The Chief Executive Officer of the company is Engr. Tristan Jay E. Bituin. He is the
highest-ranking executive of the company. He makes major corporate decisions. He manages the
overall operations and resources of the company. The Chief Human Resource Officer is Engr.
Kem J. Merilo. He is in charge of the development and execution of human resource strategy of
the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. He provides leadership and
guidance to the human resource function by keeping an eye on talent acquisition, career
development, training, and benefits globally. The Chief Marketing Officer is Engr. Feljohn F.
Marco. He oversees the marketing activities of the company. He is responsible for the creation,
communication, and he delivers offering that have value for customers and business partners. He
develops a comprehensive marketing plan that facilitates growth and increases sales. Engr. Maria
Gella M. Perez is the Chief Financial Officer. She manages the financial actions of the company.
She tracks the cash flow and financial planning of the company. She analyzes the company's
financial strengths and weaknesses. She ensures the financial reports are accurate and completed
on time. Engr. Charisse O. Consignado is the Chief Product Officer. She is in charge of the entire
product organization. Her duty is to create strategic product direction which includes product
design, innovation, management, development, and marketing. She leads in building products

The Slice N' Craft build out its social media presence. It’s a free and effective
way to create awareness about a more environmentally products or machine, systems, and
improve machining capacity. It will purchase advertising space in the print and online
editions of both the local newspaper. Slice N' Craft will also purchase advertising space
on a local TV news station’s website and local Radio station. To attract customers from
the nearby highway, Slice N’ Craft will purchase a billboard ad that will include
directions from the highway to the shop.

6. Pricing Strategy

carried out and the material to be processed. Based on established feeds, speeds, and

tactics worked and which didn’t. At that time, it will decide whether to cut the
unsuccessful tactics and direct those funds elsewhere, or give them more time to work.

PRODUCTION PLAN
The production system of Slice N’ Craft shall attain the effectiveness and efficiency in
their service in terms of safeties and quality of the products. This will engage to the modern
production using technology. This will help to have a high production to attain the goal of the
company. Also we assure that the customer will meet their satisfaction and they will get the
exact quality of the product by the used of our machines.
To improve the productivity of the people who need to slice bamboo into thin pieces, by
promoting our machine and have a better business for them. We will undergo to the high
productivity for our customers.
The company will present the slicer machine done by responsible persons who will
ensure the quality of the product, check the quantity and the condition of the machine that you
will use. The company will assure the safety in using the slicer machine and the output for them
to be satisfied. The company tries to have a fullest possible scope for what our machine can slice.
The company realize that there’s a lot of possible output if we slice bamboo into thin so that it
has different uses.

 Production cost: This is some cost involved in producing the item. Costs include
materials, electricity, worker salaries, rent, etc.
 Capacity utilization rate: It’s the percentage of actual manufacturing output against the
total possible manufacturing output. If many machines and workers are sitting idle, your
capacity utilization is low. Ideally, you want it high but never full.
 Projected versus actual hours: It allows you to save your time in slicing bamboo into
thin and to the desired thickness you want. But it will take some delays if some workers
have their unexpected tasks. In slicing bamboo it will take a minute for the bamboo will

The Slice N' Craft human resource plan is to provide workplace that will surely provide a
clean and green environment for our workers/staff. The main focus of the HRP of the company is
to find a new way to maximize the resources that we have in order for us to be able to keep on
finding ways to provide an environmentally friendly machine that satisfies the needs of our
customers. And to focus on hiring people that believes in the vision and mission of the company.

Personnel Requirements
One of the most important factors in developing good working place is to only hire
people who also believes in the vision and mission of our company. And in order to provide a
high quality service and be able to make an outstanding machine with high machining capacity
we need to evaluate the applicant if they posses the following skills such as flexibility, caring,
empathetic, have an engineering skills, curious, and always willing to learn and grow.
The following qualifications will provide a better understanding of the requirements to
hiring the most qualified staff for the job:
 The applicant must have an engineering skills
 The applicant is expected to participate in different trainings and seminar for them to
improve their knowledge and skills.
 The applicant must have a strong sets of values and principles in life that he/she follows.
 The applicant is required to take a test to measure his/her emotional intelligence.
Selection and Hiring process
Since hiring is so costly, it's important to get it right. First, resumes are scrutinized, and
candidates with the most closely matched abilities are chosen for interviews. Many companies
conduct phone interviews first to narrow the scope even further. Once we have the qualified
applicants, conduct interviews and skills evaluations to determine the best fit for your
organization. We can now proceed to the hiring process. In this phase we need to make sure that
we are hiring the right staff/employee that our company needs. Salary, insurance, and holiday
time can all be negotiated at this stage.
Compensation
Workers’ Compensation is currently available within our company at this time. We will
provide the insurance certificate disclosing the coverage of the company’s Workers’
Compensation plan.
 Health Insurance
A comprehensive health plan is currently available to employees at this time. We
offer a health plan because we want to make sure that our employees feel that we have
their back no matter what happens in that way they can have no worries and just do their
best to accomplish their task. Our Health Insurance have a group insurer and an insurance
booklet describing all the benefits under the plan. All benefits and details will be
available to all employees then who elect to join the plan.
 Overtime and Uncompensated Overtime Policy: Overtime exemptions
Slice N' Craft does not offer an Overtime Policy because we want to make sure
that all employees can still have time for their family and have a healthy social life.
If and when we hire hourly employees they may be expected to work overtime in
case of emergency or whenever necessary. Hourly-paid employees will be paid one and
one half of (1.5) their normal hourly rate of pay for approved overtime hours worked in
excess of forty (40) hours per week. For purpose of calculating overtime, time will be
rounded to the nearest ½ hour.
 Vacation/Holiday/Funeral/Jury duty compensation
Slice N’ Craft does not offer a Vacation/Holiday/Funeral/ Jury Duty
Compensation because (i.e. one employee, all officers of the company, work is all
subcontracted).
If and when we hire hourly employees Slice N' Craft will offers regular full time,
part time, and temporary employees the following compensation.
 Full Time Employees: 2 weeks paid vacation (1 week after 6 months and the 2nd week
after anniversary hire date) 3 weeks after five years and 4 weeks after ten years. 10 paid
holidays are given upon hire. Compensation is allocated for bereavement leave of three
workdays. Slice n' craft offers full compensation minus the allocated jury duty pay up to
ten business days.
 Part Time Employees: After one year one week paid vacation equal to the part time
salary. 10 paid holidays are given upon hire. Compensation is allocated for bereavement
leave of three workdays. Slice n' craft offers full compensation minus the allocated jury
duty pay up to ten business days.
 Temporary Employees: Paid vacation equal to the average weekly hours worked in one
year. Six paid holidays are given after one year of service. No other benefits.
 In the event Slice n' craft receives a government contract, lasting for a year or longer, we
will provide our employees with 10 paid holidays a year.
Performance management
All workers should have their output evaluated on a regular basis. Determine your
accomplishments and areas for change. Employees of Slice n' craft would work better if they are
rewarded for their efforts.
