COMPREHENSION

Read the following passage carefully and then answer the questions that follow.

When we eat, tiny pieces of food may stick in between our teeth.
This makes it easy for germs to work. The food becomes bad and our
mouths will have a bad smell. The germs will start to grow. They make
holes in our teeth. The holes are called cavities. Cavities give us
toothache.

Foods that are sweet make cavities easily. They are cakes, sweets,
ice cream and chocolates. On the other hand, eggs, fish, cheese and
milk make our teeth strong and healthy.

It is a good habit to clean our teeth after each meal. In this way,
food will not get stuck in between our teeth. There will be no cavities
and we will be free from tooth decay.
