Title: A Dream Comes True

It was cold and windy was hiding in the clouds. The breeze was slightly dubbing
on my face.

I was sitting at the veranda of my friend’s house. It’s about ten minutes after I
attended my friend’s “Despidida Party”. Her family will be transferring to Marikina the
next day.

I was waiting for my friend, Jyrah, after I decided to sleep in their house when I
knew that the lights in our house were off and I reckoned that my parents were
already asleep and I didn’t want to wake them up.

After ten minutes of waiting, I heard some footsteps. Someone was walking up
the stairs. I saw a silhouette reflecting by moon’s light. I thought it was Jyrah, so I
waited for her. To my surprise, it was not her. It’s her brother Blue. I thought he’s
already sleeping.
“Are you still awake?” he asked me. “Yes, I’m waiting for Jyrah.” I replied. “How
about you, why are you still awake?” I asked him. “I can’t sleep,” he replied.

He walked towards me and occupied the sit beside me. We were talking with
each other about anything he wanted to talk with and I was just listening to him.

Suddenly, he paused. After a deafening silence, I just felt tiny touches in my

hand. At first, I went still. My hands were sweating. He clasped my hands as if I would
vanish in just a blink of an eye.

“You see? My hand fits yours and I want it to last even moment.”

I didn’t know how to respond. I was speechless. Just kept my mouth shut and just felt
the soothing sensation by just holding his hands.

“Did you ever fall in love?” he asked me. I shivered down into my spine as he
whispered those words in my ear. “WHAT?” I replied abruptly. I didn’t expect that he
would ask me that way. It seemed that the horse kicked me right through the very
core of my heart. He just smiled and shrugged his shoulders, “Just asking,” he said.

I relaxed and still managed to say “Not yet, how about you?” “Yes;” he replied.
“Do you want to know who is she?” “So who’s the unlucky girl?” I eagerly asked him.
“YOU,” he replied without hesitation.

I was stunned. That really astonished me. For a moment, I was paralyzed and
stared at him. I couldn’t believe it. “Me? Why? How?” Those questions ran on my mind
and down into my veins.

“Wheeeeww!!!! At last I already told you my most treasured feelings. I have just kept
this for five months. “Do I have a chance? Don’t worry I won’t force you to love me.

“Just give me a chance, please …. “

“No, I am not giving you a chance to prove that you really love me.”

“What?” he said. I couldn’t bear the pain I saw in his eyes. Liquid crystals came
rushing down my face. I couldn’t help it. I was so happy to know that I was not the
only one who loved him. He loved me too. I was being loved by this handsome guy with
a pair of deep-seated eyes who could melt any girl’s heart even without making a
move. By this time, he is asking me to be his girl. How lucky I am!

I smiled, “You don’t need to prove your love to me because I believe in you. I
love you too. I’m willing to be your girl and take the chance to be with you.”

“Yes!!!!” he shouted and covered his mouth immediately when he realized that
everybody was sleeping except the two of us.

“I’m sorry. I am so happy. Finally, you are now my girl. I love you!”

“I love you too!” I replied happily.

“Kayla, wake up!! You will be late for school. Hurry up!”

“That’s my mother, right? Huh! It’s already seven o’clock”

Then I realized that it was just a dream, but I smiled with contentment in my
heart. A dream came true because yesterday, today and I hope until forever I am his
girl.
