Prerequisites

To start of you need a Telegram App that’s it, to download click the link

SMS to Telegram

In a nutshell, it just forwards SMS from your phone to Telegram.

Why?

Well let’s say you have a phone and for some reason you left at home.
And you need to access a 2-factor authentication website, with help of
SMS to Telegram you can receive you OTP on telegram, on a desktop or
web.

Is it secure?

Yes, The App forwards your SMS directly to your Telegram, no proxy
servers are in between. The project is open sourced. Link below

However, sending an SMS from your telegram goes through our


Servers. This was done because it’s not technically possible to identify
your device, unless its registered on our servers. This option is totally
optional you can skip it.
App Setup
Step 1:

Install the app from play store, link below

Step 2:

Identify your telegram id (this setup is crucial without it, you will not be
able to forward SMS).

• Simply launch Telegram and search for @SMStoTeleBot


• Click Start

• You will see your Telegram ID


In this case 354446473.

Note: For groups refer Section No 7: Adding Bot to Group

Step 3:

Go to “SMS to Telegram” App and do the following action.

• Click the “Telegram ID” Button at bottom of the display


• Enter the Telegram ID (example 354446473), and press Next
• Click the “Grant Permission” Button at bottom of the display

• Click “ALLOW" and then Next.


• And That’s you are done.
Step 4:
• You should be able to receive SMS now, SMS Bot will show you
SMS Sender, device you are receiving from and the SMS body
itself.
