Task No. 2 1. As Pre-Service Teachers, what are the


implications of some issues on ICT and
Internet Policy and Regulations to
teaching and learning?

As pre-service teachers, knowing and


understanding some issues on ICT and internet policy and regulations can
help us to become more effective teachers someday knowing this can helps
us and teach our dear students and us future teachers on what were going to
do and not do. We know that technology is very important and useful in
education so we need to understand the policies and regulation of the ICT in
order us to aware and vigilant in using technology. We all have the freedom
to use ICT and always remember that technology has a positive and
negative.

2. How would you differentiate the 3 categories of the New ICT


Technologies? Explain.

The three categories of the New ICT Technologies are: Information


technology using computers to process data and save time and effort.
Telecommunication technologies like our telephone system, radio and TV
broadcasting needed in this category. Networking technologies the most
common networking technologies includes Internet, mobile phone
technology, Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) satellite communications,
satellite and other broadband technology.

3. Should we leave our lives to be controlled by technology or should we control


the utilization of technology in our lives? How? Explain.

For me, we should control the utilization of technology in our lives we don’t
want technology controlled us. We all know that without us human being,
technology is useless. We human have the power to control, utilize and
manipulate the technologies, in our hands relies the better future if we utilize
the technology in a good and better way. Technology is powerful, effective
and useful without us who controlled technology is useless. Technology
brought us many changes and were happy in it but we should aware the
possibilities that one day we human being well suffer the consequences if we
overuse it we need to be more vigilant, responsible and wiser in whatever
were doing.

4. Cyberbullying in all forms is a crime. How would you address cyberbullying


inside your class? Explain.

“Cyberbullying is bullying that takes place over digital devices like cell
phones, computers, and tablets. Cyberbullying can occur through SMS, Text,
and apps, or online in social media, forums, or gaming where people can
view, participate in, or share content. Cyberbullying includes sending,
posting, or sharing negative, harmful, false, or mean content about someone
else. It can include sharing personal or private information about someone
else causing embarrassment or humiliation. Some cyberbullying crosses the
line into unlawful or criminal behavior.”

As a future Educator someday we need to be aware on cyberbullying and


address it to our dear student that cyberbullying is not a good thing. Schools
should strictly address and educate all students that cyberbullying can cause
bad effects to others. We need to guide and teach our student to aware on
what they wanted to share or post online that can hurt to other feelings,
cyberbullying can cause depression, loss of self confidence to other and can
lead also to suicide we need to be vigilant, responsible and aware to our
students we need to be open minded in any situation we should not ignore
cyberbullying. We teacher has a big part to our student, now that we are in
the 21st century and technology is commonly used cyberbullying may occur
anytime and anywhere.

Reflection
Making:
From the module on ICT Policies and Issues: Implications to Teaching and
Learning, I comprehended that we future educators should know the ICT policies and the
implication to our teaching, learning, safety, concern or issue that relates to ICT. This
lesson ICT Policies & Issues Implication to teaching and learning can help me as a teacher
to be more knowledgeable, vigilant and smarter in dealing with technology. ICT policies
are needed to put a roadmap or course of actions, adopted and pursue by a government,
organizations, entities involving ICT. All of us has the power, utilize and, access
information to the internet and ICT but we need to be responsible for example plagiarism
sometimes we own the works of other without crediting them that’s the common misuse of
ICT for students.

E-safety is constantly evolving. All teaching and non-teaching staff should be


aware and able to recognize e-safety issues. In this modern days technologies arises,
all of us are using and relying on technology. As technology are highly advanced we
need to be aware and able to recognize the E-Safe issues. E-Safety concern children
and young people in the digital world, emphasizes learning to understand and use new
technologies in positive way.
