Application
agea-kull PU2.5/5-10kV tester provide a step-
less adjustable AC high voltage of 0-10kV and
max.0.5A for on-site testing of mainly capacitive
test objects such as motors, generators, cables,
switchgears and instrument transformers. They
are suitable for potential tests, C-tanϑ and PD
measurements.

Design
The system is designed for easy handling and
transportation. It is divided into a low voltage
and a high voltage part and allows the operator
to stand in a safe distance from the high
voltage. The reduced weight enables handling
by two or even only one person.

Control Unit
The control unit is built into a robust case with
castors and handle. A storage compartment
houses the auxiliary devices and cables re-
quired for connecting the test transformer and
the test objet. The controls are self-explaining
and very easy to operate. The unit provides all
safety devices according standard EN50191

Test Transformer

50Hz or 60Hz 500mA 5min

The transformer is oil insulated to ensure a low


pd level of typical <5pC and compensates 50%
of the testing power. Internal measuring
resistors deliver the voltage and current signals
to the control unit.

-2m mains and connection cables
-5m grounding cable with clamp
-1 manual grounding rod (L=385mm)
-3 red warning lamps with magnetic socket
-5m shielded and pd free high voltage cable
with clamp

Available options are:
-Transport housing for the test transformer
-Castors on the test transformer
-HV-adaptors with M6-M12 tread for contacting
of motor or generator terminal screws
-Interlock chains and chain supports
-Motorized voltage adjustment
-Filtering

Customized Solutions
Systems with other specifications can be
delivered as well, for example
-with higher output voltages
-with more power
-with external high voltage compensation
-with cast resign transformers
