MESSAGE
I would like to express my warmest
greetings and congratulations to the
graduating learners, faculty, school
officials and staff for their
Commencement Exercise for School Year
2020-2021.
On behalf of the Department of Education (DepEd), I am honored to
be part of the accomplishments and milestones of this year’s
graduating batch. Despite being tested in an extraordinary time, our
learners persevered and made valuable gains for their future.
While this historic season gave unprecedented challenges posed by
the COVID-19 pandemic, I am confident that this new breed of
Filipino nation-builders – one that has experienced unusual
obstacles – will be vital in moving the country for the years to come.
Our heroes in the history of our country have faced many challenges
without hesitation and fear to seek truth and freedom through
education, and like those today who continue to go great lengths to
assiduously provide support for our education, they stand firm in
Jose Rizal’s words, “Without education and liberty, which are the
soil and the sun of man, no reform is possible, no measure can give
the result desired.”
Let this ceremony be a reminder that we can overcome anything
through our concerted efforts. And with DepEd supporting you in
every way possible, we will be able to respond to every challenge,
especially in the basic education sector.
For our parents and teachers, we are greatly indebted to the
dedication that you have given to your children during this crisis.
Truly, your efforts have come to fruition as we celebrate this
momentous day.
Let us continue to seek growth and opportunities for a safer,
healthier, and kinder place to nurture our future leaders and nation-
builders.

MESSAGE
Our hearts are scarring from this DISEASE, but there is still
HOPE in each of our SOUL; So let us just come together to REACH
our GOAL – from the song “HOPE” by Aaliyah Gaona
Hurrah! We have reached our goal – Happy Graduation!
Congratulations, my dear brave graduates – Surviving, Living, Learning and
Graduating! You are the first batch of graduates who completely finished the school
year in the new normal. To the parents, local government units, organizations and
civic- minded citizens, DepEd conveys its gratitude for your overwhelming support.
Indeed, the challenges and demands of the distance learning modality have tested our
faith in the system. In an era, where uncertainty and unpredictability become the rule
rather than an exception – the need to be STRONG is imperative.
Start To Recognize Our Natural Greatness.
We do not wait for the rain to stop before we go out and dance, we have to
START now. Let us not be suspended in time, drifting, and waiting for the pandemic
to disappear. With environmental scanning, planning, and anointing from Almighty
God, a contextualized plan to reach our goal will emerge.
The worst of times can bring out the best in us. With much time to know
ourselves, we RECOGNIZE our talents and potentials which are our tools in reaching
our goals and dreams. With only ourselves to really draw much strength and
confidence we realize there is a hero within us – NATURAL GREATNESS to be able to
survive and become victorious in the end.
Let me commend all the teachers, school heads and all of DepEd family for the
courage and diligence that we showed in this extraordinary time.
Congratulations to everyone who exerted to make this school year a trailblazing
journey!

“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and
confidence.” —Helen Keller
My warmest greetings and congratulations to all the Graduates and completers of the
School Year 2020-2021. Finishing this challenging school year in these trying times of COVID- 19
pandemic wasn’t easy, but marks the hardship and success. Since the Department find its way to
make this school year still productive, we have embraced and accepted the new normal system of
education as our theme says “Strengthening the Quality of Education Amid the Covid-19
Pandemic,”. And I believed, it has been a striving year for all of us and our passion, dedication and
time are being tested. We are so grateful to all the parents and the students who extended their time
and cooperation in dealing with the chosen Learning delivery Modality and complying the most
essential requirements needed for all the learning areas since face to face is not possible for the
whole school year.
My Salute to our valued and beloved parents, accept my heartfelt thanks for being our
resilient and efficient partner in the Department for the implementation of distance learning. Your
support is not in vain. It is like a tree that bear fruits and now ready to reap. Your effort is counted
in the fulfillment of the “Sulong Edukalidad” as mandated by the department of education.
My dear graduates and completers, you nailed it! Your journey has just marked and another
significant achievement to count on. Continue to win the battle for excellence until you reach your
goal and become successful in the near future. According to Pele, “Success is no accident. It is
hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing
or learning to do.
My deepest appreciation also to all the school administrators, faculty members, and non-
teaching staff for the love and passion in taking the service with integrity. Though we have
encountered different challenges from the very start of this school year, but Glory to God we have
surpassed it for “Para sa Bata, Para sa Bayan.”
Finally, in this momentous event of your graduation and completion day, you deserve our
warmest congratulations on your well-deserved success. I’m sure today will be one of the most
unforgettable moments for to celebrate.
Again, Congratulations and have a blessed Graduation Day and Moving-up Ceremony Batch
2021!
