Course Overview: To acquire the basic knowledge of digital logic levels and application of
knowledge to understand digital electronics circuits in order to perform the analysis and design
of various digital electronic circuits.
Course Outcomes: By the end of the course, students shall be able to:
1. Analyze a logic circuit build using logic gates. Analysis concept map
2. Analyze a logic circuit using the Logisim Software implementing logic functions by the
method of decoder
3. Analyze and design various combinational and sequential circuits that solves binary
logical tasks.
4. Ability to identify basic requirements for a design application and propose a cost
effective solution.
5. Simplify or minimize logic function using software like Minilog.exe
6. Analyze the application of Wolfram|Alpha works with Boolean algebra by computing
truth tables, finding normal forms, constructing logic circuits
7. Ability to identify and prevent various hazards and timing problems in a digital design.
